Yeah, he can swing the bat. Definitely not going to deny that. But from what I've heard, from ex-teammates, he's an arrogant d-bag who is me-first. Plus, he gets pulled defensively every year in the playoffs.

Was just looking at his numbers today... he is incredible. Looks like he can have his best year in his career so far. They really need to figure out this pitching thing. This team is getting a career year from La Stella as well, yet they're under .500. It's unacceptable really.

Justin Upton needs to be traded in July. 

Last night in the IE I watched Adell get his first two hits on a cool windy night. The Ports pitcher was mowing down the 66ers, even Adell in the first inning. His second at bat he crushed one to deep center on a low arched drive that hit the base of the wall 410 feet away for a double. His second hit was a burner line drive right over the 2nd baseman into right center field. This was only his second game back from rehab and he is already dialing in. I think Calhoun could be expendable.

This has been one of the worst managing jobs I've witnessed. 

I find that to be a common trait in shitty players.

2019: Trout in CF, Upton in LF, Calhoun in RF, Bourjos 4th OF, Bour at 1B until August, then Thaiss, Ohtani at DH from May 1, on.
Offseason, Albert Pujols retires. Adell has a big year, Marsh improves and handles AA just fine. Hermosillo on the mend but does well in AAA.
2020: Trout in CF, Upton in LF, Adell in RF, the Angels gain extra points by not manipulating his service time. Hermosillo is 4th OF, Thaiss at 1B, Ohtani at DH. Walsh at 1B when Ohtani is not DHing and Thaiss moves to DH.
Offseason: Marsh destroys AAA all year and gets a cup of coffee when Upton gets hurt in 2020.
2021: Trout in CF, Adell in LF, Marsh in RF, Upton plays part time at 1B, part time at DH. Thaiss at part time 1B, Ohtani DH.
Offseason: Upton doesn't handle transition as well as hoped. Angels trade him and eat most of 28 million owed to him in his final year of contract, age 34.
2022: Trout in CF, Adell in LF, Marsh in RF, Thaiss at 1B, Ohtani at DH. Hunter Jr. as 4th OF.
Offseason: EVERYTHING CHANGES
2023: Trout in LF, Adams in CF, Adell in RF, Maitan at 3B, and DH's when Ohtani isn't, also covers 1B when Marsh is in the OF. Jeremiah Jackson at 3B when Maitan is at DH or 1B, Jackson is also the utility infielder and gets lots of reps in at SS and 2B so he's more of a super utility player. Simmons still at SS, but at this advanced age, requires more time off. Jahmai Jones is at 2B. Brandon Marsh moves to 1B in what can only be described as Erstad all over again, but covers 4th OF duty when one of them needs a rest.

For me, the biggest thing I hope the new coaching staff learns early is that Cam Bedrosian can not be trusted. I get the bloodlines and the decent mechanics, but he doesn't seem to mix up his pitches well at all. He has too good of stuff to be so hittable. 
 
I hope the FO can move him.

I went to a couple of games and he sat. I did get to see Marsh and he's pretty physically impressive himself. Definitely a starting Major League OF potential.

Another reason Trout should stay. Adell and Ohtani on low dollar deals... once Pujols does what's right and retires we will be able to get Trout all the help he needs and it will be sustainable.
