  1. Pitching. We need pitching. This is a trade that does not seem to be time sensitive. This trade could have happened later in the offseason after Dipoto addressed our pitching needs. I realize there were three players at third base, bit not one of them served up walk off homers or blew big leads. Pitching. We need pitching.
  2. The last outfielder we traded to St Louis did pretty well for them......if I remember correctly.
  3. Pitching....F*&king Pitching. We need pitching. Pitching was a major problem. How about some pitching? Trading for David F*&cking Freese? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
  4. F**k releasing him, make him the most expense peanut salesman in the stands or grounds crew worker. At least make him earn his $$$.
  5. This deal has no effect on the Angels. Our pitching will determine success or failure, regardless of who is traded to where. Bottom line, Oakland continues to kick everyone's ass next year.
  6. Custer did not think he needed to wait for reinforncements at the Little Big Horn. Anyone believe in reincarnation?
  7. I like that your ideas are realistic. They clearly describe the limited opportunities the Angels have for improvement.
  8. I thought it was about match ups? I am confused. I still do not understand how the Red Sox won the World Series without a brilliant manager like Mike Scioscia.........so much to learn
  9. Yes......Seems to me the back end of the bullpen has had some inconsistent results over the past few years. He is not the best closer but he will be one of the save leaders with the Angels. That is assuming Frieri becomes the setup guy. All we need after that is a pitching coach.
  10. I've turned the page. Once the page has turned, it shall never be unturned.
  11. It must be nice to root for a team who plays like it matters. The Cardinals and Red Sox are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much better than the Angels, in every aspect of the game.
  12. Angels should think about that plan for Trout.
  13. Sosh never moved teams as a free agent and signed a large contract. Sosh never had to play through difficult times when performance did not match with pay, as did Baylor in his first year with the Angels. Sosh was never the focal point for an offense. I guess that was my point about Baylor.
  14. The Rangers have had better luck with former Angel personnel than visa versa. Makes me wonder.
  15. Baylor will be the only coach in the dugout who knows and understands what it is like to play with the pressure of high expectations. I look forward to better at bats in 2014.
  16. Can they do that in Boston? Napoli should be careful, Lackey might be on the rebound. Not that there is any thing wrong with that.......
  17. I would expect Scioscia to be involved in "aggressive meetings" concerning his performance. No one really wants to be held accountable, if possible.
  18. I agree that a successful playing career does not tell you much about how they would coach. However, I loved watching Don Baylor play and based on the respect afforded to him by his peers, I would say he has many of the intangibles necessary to be an effective coach. Great choice.
