It's frustrating. Starters are beginning to put together successive quality starts only to have the bullpen lose the games. However, not too long ago it was the bullpen doing the quality work trying to save a shitty start.
I think this is the result of overwork.
I do not want Machado. Would rather have younger talent if such a trade occurs. Machado type trades are a recipe for future problems. I prefer long term solutions if any trade requires some serious talent from the farm
The most depressing thing about this is how bad would Pujols need to be before he is dropped in the lineup or removed from the lineup. Performances by Espinosa and Calhoun do not give any indication that consistent playing time depends on productivity for established players.
I currently do not like Calhoun as a player in the staring lineup. He needs to "work things out" at a different level than MLB.
He is one of many problems that plague the Angels....unfortunately, I am not sure he was seen as being one of the problems. Who did the Angels piss off for them to have so many corner outfield issues for so long?
After that performance, Bedrosian needs to either be DFA'd or DL'd. I am having a difficult time remembering such a mentally disastrous outing if there were no physical problems. Kazmir comes to mind......that is not an Angel pitcher comp anyone wants.
Mike Trout's ability and disposition will make him a fricken' legend.......
Honestly, how many people do you know who do their job at a level equivalent to Trout and who are also humble and hardworking? You can exclude Eligrba from consideration...he is an elite free-rider focused on complicating the simple and defying the laws of thermodynamics..
Welcome,
