It is the environment the GOP created for themselves.  Go around saying how bad government is, pretty soon people will start to see you as part of the problem.  

What influx?  We simply pointed out a path that is already in place.  The military has ways to weed out people that shouldn't be there.  If you are not down with killing brown people there are paths one can take so you never have to.  In fact my 5 years in the Navy not once did I have to pick up a gun, the pen was my weapon. 
 
Yes, many people join the military simply for the GI Bill.  It is the biggest selling point.  Some decide to stick it out and make a career out of it.  Others bounce as soon as they can, and that is fine they earned that GI Bill.  The point is free college will devastate a military that is already undermanned.  It is a bad idea.  (This coming from one of the biggest Bernie supporters)

He worked 16 hours a day/6 days a week for 12 years. 
 
If you want to be a 40-50 hour a week guy, you're probably not going to get rich. 
 
I work 40-45 hours per week. I make a good living but I'm leaving a lot of money on the table. I could easily make another $40K-$60K per year if I really wanted to. I happen to value time over money and I'm pretty much a minimalist. I don't care for "stuff"

Bernie is actually far left of my own views, and I'm pretty left.  But I feel confident in voting for him knowing most of his extreme stuff won't get the support to actually pass.  I feel like Bernie with a Republican controlled house will off-set each other and actually be good for this country.   At least for 4-years.

They self created a situation for themselves that wasn't going to end well, and well... it didn't.
