Ms place a 6 spot on Richards in 1st inning of game 2 (Richards lasted 0.2 innings with 6ER -- ouch).  I wonder what "Jedi" DiPoto has in store for game 2?

ok.  the notion that teams would stay away from trading with the Angels is something you made up then you spoke to it as fact.  So yea, it is pretty dumb.  Me being dumb has nothing to do with how dumb your opinion was.

You lose me at buyout Pujols and trade Upton...both of those are so unlikely, and even if you can pull off a trade of Upton, it likely comes with some sort of negative consequence you aren’t accounting for, such as taking on Johnny Cueto’s contract, or continuing to pay nearly all of Upton’s contract (which starts to rule out Bauer AND Realmuto, maybe even only one of them), or including a top prospect.
For me it’s also too much reliance on free agency. Billy has always traded well. If he is going to do anything to save his job and help the club before his deal runs out, it needs to be some bold trades now or before his contract expires this winter.

Mostly agree, which is why I limited my thoughts to Bauer and Gausman, as Gausman may only need a two year deal and has decent career stats.
Main thing is, no more new big FA contracts for at least 4-5 years.

Why would we trade the few trade-able assets we have for a SS prospect?  We need three things: pitchers, pitchers and hmmm what was the 3rd one....oh yeah, PITCHERS!
We have several ML guys who can play SS in place of Simmons in Fletcher and Rengfro.  We also have several really good SS prospects in JJ, Paris, Vera...not to mention guys like Soto, Placentia, etc. Heck, I'd be ok getting a catcher at least; but heck no do we need to get a SS back (whether a ML ready guy or prospect).

Come on Chuck, what kind of prospect would you be ok with the Angels giving up for Walker if we were in the position to be adding?  It certainly wouldn’t be a good prospect.  It would be something along the lines of one of the guys we gave up for Bundy.  We gave up 4 guys, 1 we had heard of for 2 years of Bundy.  

how about instead of trading Bundy, we extend him?
trade Goodwin and a prospect (or two) for Plesac.   Goodwin would be their best OFer by far.   
draft Rocker
sign Bauer or some other free agent.  
Bauer, Bundy, Plesac, Heaney, Rocker, Detmers, Canning, Ohtani, Sandoval, Barria, Suarez, Chris Rodriguez.

Well to be fair Eppler said he wasn't done adding to the rotation. He didn't say how. 

This is a good point.  Unfortunately, this is going to be the case for many young guys as well...losing some development time.  Then again, i guess from the Angels standpoint and the curse of TJ injuries, maybe it's best to have them pitching less -- get some guys with less wear/tear on their arms/shoulders.  Grasping at straws these days at glass-half-full viewpoints as an Angel fan.
If indeed we do get a top 5-6 pick, we really need there to be some decent amount of spring College / HS baseball played so scouts can properly evaluate.  If we end up in the 10-15 range, it could be a potential benefit to those teams (& back end of 1st round) with good scouting since guys might be available who otherwise would not have if being able to showcase themselves over a full season.
They better not F with the draft order.  Only thing i'd be cool with would be a lottery for the top pick for the non-playoff teams.  I could get behind this for one season due to the hugely unbalanced 2020 schedule.

Seattle won today, so the Halos are officially dead last in the American League.   The only MLB Team doing worse is the Pirates, and they're only one game further under .500 than the Angels.
