if hes expecting Kikuchi money, 14, 15M per, im out.
If thats an accurate comparison number wise and expectation, Kickuchi has been a 5+ ERA guy over here and Sugano three years older?
If you can get it for 10M, ok, maybe im in, but not at 15ish. 
Heck the Ms are wondering what to do with Kickuchi before having to pay him 16M per after 21 from what ive read.

if about $10M/yr, i'm 100% in. 
If we're talking closer to $15M/yr, then no -- funnel those funds to convince Bauer to come and get a cheap vet SP for depth.  Even if Bauer says no, i'd rather spend that on Odorizzi + . 

We have to sign 2 of Bauer/Sugano/Odorizzi before I’d be comfortable trading for Contreras.  He’d be a nice add for sure, but our trade assets need to go to pitching unless we sign free agents first

I don’t want to spend prospect capital on a catcher.  I am perfectly fine with the revolving door at back up catcher and to see how Stassi does this year.  If Stassi has close to the year he had last year with the bat then we are trying to fill a need that isn’t a need.

Quintana is a guy i only want if he's the 2nd guy following Bauer or some traded for TOTR guy.  Next to Bauer he makes sense since we won't have much funds and Q would be an inexpensive option on a short (1-2 type year) deal.  A guy that we can take a risk on for upside with the workhorse top guy Bauer.  
But if were talking about Quintana as the 2nd guy along with some other middle of the rotation guy -- sorry, i'm not satisfied with that at all (facepalm).  We've seen enough of that year after year after year.....

If we get him, I’m hoping something in the range of a 3/$30-36m. Seems fair.

The Angels need to be in on every top tier pitcher. I'd hate to be disappointed, but Sugano is a top tier pitcher, the Angels need pitching and have money to spend and are a West coast team with an existent Japanese fan base already in place.
Barring health, I see no reason why Sugano and the Angels aren't a perfect match.
