It really is tough having both Pujols and Ohtani. Ohtani has the tools to be a top 10 hitter in the AL but he can't play any position next year. I just don't see Pujols playing an entire season at 1B everyday without landing on the DL. We have a DH who can't slide to 1B. We basically have to go into the season with the mentality that we will most likely need a new 1B around August. I think it is safe to say that Pujols will not be coming into spring training in the best shape of his life.

You can't go into the season with shoemaker penciled into the starting 5. He'll be 32, been injured the last two years, and never thrown over 160 innings in a season. He needs to be in the pen and then he a spot starter. We have to get away from the "let's hope we stay healthy" mentality with our pitching staff.

I think everyone can agree with my opinion that I don't want showalter because a minimum of 5 pitching changes a game is just boring.

Pretty sure with Arcia hitting that bomb today we became the only team in the AL who had a pitcher hit a bomb. So we got that going for us.
