    We played them well but the series showed us what we already new. We have the bats to compete, we have the bullpen, we don't have the starting pitching. Starting pitching went 14.1 innings (if you count our long reliever who the org doesn't trust to see the top of order three times). That stinks.

    Words of advice: don't ever step away from a Cahill pitched game, not even to take a work call for 10 minutes. You do not know when you will see him break the game wide open.

    If Calhoun continues to Strike out and just basically suck, then Goodwin will start to steal his Ab's. Calhoun has been flat out awful.

    Winning the wild card while trading away Cahill, Calhoun and Harvey..... That would be probably the greatest scenario ever.

    One year deal. You lose a second round pick. You make the wild card game. It was worth a 2nd round pick. If the team is toast by July you trade him for a minor leaguer comparable to around a second round pick. I have no faith in Skaggs and Heaney staying healthy.

    I'm just glad he is playing well enough so pujols can play DH and doesn't have to stand on his feet and run too much during spring training.

    Hope he finds a special sauce that helps him throw it 2-3 mph faster next year catapulting him to a multi year deal some place else in 2020.
