I live in a house full of Tagalog talkers and work with Arabic speakers. I  understand a good bit of what they say but when I speak their language they don't understand me. I absolutely can see why they would have an interpreter to speak for them in the unfamiliar languages

DeGrom debuted at age 25 and stays hurt. Cole was drafted 13 years and 2 organizations ago. When Strider and Burnes were drafted in the 4th round was it because they were expected to become aces? Unless someone who has the stuff just magically puts it together for you it seems that's something you look for once the other pieces are mostly in place

You should be skeptical of the stuff you see and hear. Part of that is being aware of the positions you are more inclined to be amenable to. You should ask who has big money riding on the support of public opinion in the US, or who is paying for those billboards along the freeway, or the commercials on tv?

A couple things to look at. The bottom of the screen shows net salary vs lux tax at $189 mil. Second, Trout and Rendon actual salaries combined this year exceed AAV by about $5 mil and I think it's understood that Arte operates by actual salary instead of AAV so we should say the beginning payroll for 2024 is around $194 mil which means even to get back to last season they have $20ish mil. Let's hope the first half of the season goes well enough for him to bless the increase for the back half

Clearly everyone misunderstood.   
When they said being over the cap wasn't going to have any impact they simply meant payroll was going to be pared back either way.
