  1. This makes me think that Mason Albright has a big future and if he committed to college that he'd easily be a first round pick his junior year. Really excited for this kid. This should be fun.
  2. My initial thought for Bart (yes i went off the MLB trade values so take it with salt) was: Angels trade Canning, Heaney, Jackson for Bart and Pomares. Giants need lefty starting help for the playoffs and can use a young controllable arm. They lacked a bit in infield prospects as well. But either way, I'd entertain a trade involving Bart and Pomares for Adell and someone else.
  3. My short list for Adell. And yes, all these names might be a stretch: Joey Bart (C) Casey Mize (SP) McKenize Gore (SP) Nate Pearson (SP) Matt Manning (SP)
  4. Great points. I'd like to see more being moved at the deadline, though. My only concern is that the Angels will play very well until the deadline against these shitty teams (which they have beat this season), then have the mentality of not being sellers and push for it but fall way short again.... They need to trade (R) Iglesias, Cobb, one of Heaney/Canning, and maybe even Jose Iglesias. Just ride with the rotation of Ohtani, Heaney/Canning, Suarez, Sandoval, Detmers, Rodriguez for the rest of the year and let those boys grow.
  5. Can you elaborate a little more with this topic?? Why do you think he's smarter than we think....?
  6. The wings of the logo remind me too much of the Sponge's wings
  7. Yeah I was looking at the values too and it seemed strange that Bart was only at valued at 21.9. The Angels would need to overpay a bit for him. Canning would be a start but likely doesn't help them immensely for this season. I'd toss Raisel Iglesias in the mix, but their bullpen (at least setup/closer spot is already locked. Though the article does suggest maybe they wouldn't mind taking on a contract.... They could use outfield help.... Oh Justin.... Screw it, fire sell Heaney, Canning and Jackson.... Yeah right...
  8. True, I just wonder if the right package could be made if names like Adell or Canning were involved. They'd want someone for their playoff push, but maybe it can be done adding some other names too. Just wonder for who.
  9. Joey Bart "most likely... "to be available" in trade. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/07/joey-bart-most-likely-giants-top-prospect-to-be-available-in-trades.html I know it's not a pitcher, but the Angels have always had a black hole at the catching position. Just a thought.
  10. So that's what it feels like to be a Dodgers, Padres, Rays or Oakland fan?
  11. 2022 rotation. Ohtani Thor or someone we trade Adell for Detmers Bachman Sandoval Suarez. Honestly not too bad..... very cost effective too.
  12. Did I blink or did someone just say "could be an ace"..... Did Keith Law forget he's writing about the angels?? All joking aside, that's pretty awesome.
  13. It' like the first week of Spring Training or the season. You'll see the most random of guys start very well..... Then settle in.... Give it another 2 weeks.
  14. Our GMs have always operated with the thinking that bullpen arms change every year based on performance. It always seems like we have a bullpen makeover on a budget (except for Iglesias this year).
  15. Who's got insight on Mason Albright and what his potential looks like? I assume if the Angels are going to make him a solid offer then they have high hopes for this kid... Anyone know??
  16. Agree.... But i will say now, we all thought the same thing with Pujols. So who knows at this point.
  17. It's time for both he and Adell to be up here and even if he gets sent down, he should still be a September call up. Just have a strange feeling that there will be some significant movement in the outfield coming soon. Not of the send down/call up area either.
  18. As much as i'd love for the Angels to sell, it won't happen. They won't dare become a selling team with Mike Trout in his prime. Unfortunately, they don't have the balls to tell him we're going to tank for one more year, sell off what we can to get some solid pitching, and flip this B**** around for next season. The Angels will remain stuck in the middle..... again. They will trade guys on expiring contracts but that's about it..... Because they think that Trout and Upton coming back will send them to the moon (forgetting about pitching). The only thing that is raising my eyebrows is the Marsh call up. Trout and Upton are nearing returns, Eaton just signed and Lagares and Ward are sitting there. The hell happens with Adell at this point.
  19. Yeah i'm a bit confused with this move in general. First off, congrats to Marsh. With the injuries he dealt with and the recent passing of his father, it's a cool moment for him for sure. I'm a bit confused with this move, however. He's only played in 28 minor league games this season (24 in AAA, 4 in ACL for rehab). To me, this seams purely like a defensive move for outfield help. Maddon says he has a chance at staying on the big club for the rest of the season which makes this whole situation extremely weird. Marsh LF, Trout CF, Eaton RF...... Assuming Upton comes back we'd get stuck with Upton, Marsh, Eaton, Trout, Ward and Lagares (could use his glove)...... Then what happens with Adell? The offense he's provided in AAA should warrant a call-up when rosters expand. Upton/Trout/Marsh/Adell..... plus Eaton/Ward/Lagares? oh boy....
  20. Adell will be back up before Marsh so let's get the Marsh idea out of the window..... He's just coming back from a shoulder injury.
  21. I wonder if we can see BOTH Bachman and Murphy hit the bullpen this season. Murphy might be a stretch, but would be super neat.
