Yup, definitely have a tough choice either way. Although it'd be good to move on I do think the Angels are doing the right thing and waiting until a full and thorough investigation has been completed. My opinion is neither to protect him or fire him. I just want a full investigation to be done. If they find clear evidence on what he did then get him the hell out.

Very cool. Yeah, Odorizzi definitely isn't the hottest option but I could never say no to more solid depth. He's not an ace, but with the Angels' rotation he'd fit nicely in a 2-3 spot IMO. In Minasian's mind it raises our floor even more. Plus with pitchers suddenly having to go a full 162 game season, having depth up the ying-yang might pay off really well. That could be the difference maker when going against the Astros and Athletics. Also really helps if the Angels need to make some trades.

Despite the quality of arms the Angels currently have, I would say they are deep with rotation options currently. Bundy, Heaney, Canning, Quintana, Cobb, Ohtani, Barria, Sandoval. That's 8 arms without mentioning Suarez, Rodriguez and Detmers. If the Angels do push for someone like Odorizzi then I wonder if it's a Dodgers-type strategy with keeping as much depth as you come. It plays well for the playoff. But I also wonder if there would be a corresponding trade that would follow if we got Odorizzi.

Their original logos starting from 1961 has the gold halo. It was more commonly used back in that day, but from a design standpoint I just think it pops much more.
