    I don't think there's a chance to "contend with luck" in 2021. Arte Moreno fired Billy Eppler because we weren't where he thought we should have been. Do we really think he'll let the Angels punt on another year? Not happening. If we're waiting for 2024 then I feel bad for Trout.

    As much as I hate the Dodgers, MAD respect for them on doing what they need to do to stay competitive against the Padres. Must be a great feeling for the fans to know ownership wants to put a winning team on the field no matter the cost. We've all said the Dodgers, Rays and Padres know what they're doing so we must say the same thing here. They see value in him. Now they're about $29M over the tax so I wonder if they might trade some arms.....

    The only thing I can think of is the fact he's saving money with these deals. (Big F-ing whoop) But given the state the Angels are in with needing Trout in the playoffs, etc.... It seems like they're being very cheap. Disappointing is a word to use.... So is pathetic. Sure, the floor might be "better".... But Jesus it's a never ending circle with this team

    I highly doubt Cubs want to trade more arms. Colorado might need to be oversold for Marquez. Reds think they can compete so no Gray. They're in a tough spot. Offense will need to step up again.

    Yup. Still have a chance to compete. Definitely not at the level I thought this club would be heading into Spring Training. Just wish we can see the Angels make a trade for a solid pitcher.

    I think I'd just be a bit happier to see the Angels pass on Bauer if they made key moves to find someone to fit at the top of the rotation for much less cost. Like a trade for Marquez, Snell, Gray, Darvish. I think we can all agree on that. It's just frustrating to see the Angels try and repair their depth rotation again while whiffing on top arms. Just feels they're stuck in a circle and can't break away from it.

    Deep down I'd love to see Bauer put up much better numbers than Cole for the next 3 years. I'd love to see a low 3era just to shove it to Arte. Dude makes a long-term offer to Cole of around $300M but won't flirt with Bauer for a few years at lower AAV? Ridiculous.
