I think he absolutely still can. He's still very young and has many years ahead of him. Modern day medicine is very advanced and reports have said that he's been airing it out this offseason and training extremely hard. Him finally having a regular offseason as well and a normal Spring Training should help him a TON. I'm not sure how many innings he will get this year or if he will be limited to a certain amount, but he's got time to figure it all out. He should be fine.

They did predict Bauer to the Dodgers and were off by 1yr and $2M AAV on final contract. Those damn predictions....

True, but even then, I'm not willing to part ways with key prospects for 2021 when our contention chances likely go way up starting in 2022. Minasian has to be cautious with moving pieces for a one year rental. I'd part ways with them for people like Castillo or Marquez since they're controllable, but not for a 1-month rental.

Rosenthal to Angels confirmed

Good way to let Marsh and Adell fully develop. Adell needs to be fully seasoned in outfield and Marsh needs AAA experience.

Not sure Minasian would want to throw someone like Marsh or anyone else for 1 year of a chance this year. Angels system should be ready to go starting in 2022 with the Angels having payroll flexibility up the ying-yang to figure it out by then.

It is, but it seems like the Angels have been bargain hunting all offseason so Osuna probably fits in those plans.

Yeah agree. Veteran leadership like Pujols can probably play important role too. It's hard to look past at his suspension, but aside from that he'd be a big boost to the bullpen and not sure he'd cost too much either. Lose-Win type situation with him.

FWIW the woman who accused Osuna of assaulting her never testified and they settled on a peace bond. Not saying he was innocent at all, just showing what the outcome of his allegations were.

I think if anything it'd be a free agent. I was all for trading one of Adell/Marsh for a pitcher early in the offseason but based off our additions I don't think they're going to be moved. Of course, this could change if the right player becomes available. Perhaps they could be had for Adams who's likely the odd man out. Would be nice to bulk up the rotation with another arm while keeping Adell and Marsh. Things can change real quick in the outfield by the end of 2021.

Hypothetical question... If the Angels still make a push for Odorizzi or Rosenthal who would call our offseason a success and be confident for a good playoff run? Some might say it's been successful already, but just curious as to who thinks Odorizzi or Rosenthal really makes us a bit dangerous... Minasian hasn't picked up anyone fancy in terms of big-name guys, but he has brought in a lot of options. which could play well for the Angels. Jose Iglesias, Raisel Iglesias, Alex Claudio, Kurt Suzuki, Jose Quintana, Alex Cobb, Dexter Folwer and now Aaron Slegers.

Good move by the Angels to sign him and avoid 2 years of arbitration. Hopefully he plays well so he can earn a longer contract. Still have high hopes for this kid on the mound in the future. Only 26 years old.

None of the above. Their biggest additions have been the guys in the front office that Minasian has hired.

We will desperately need him in innings 7, 8 and 9 when we're desperately trying to hold a lead. Pithing will need all the defense they can find.
