  1. Corresponding move likely Walsh to IL or Wantz goes down... But it should be Angels DFAing Bundy or Quintana.....
  2. I still can't see it. No way I'd give up Jordyn Adams for a rental of Iglesias even though Adams is ranked 90 by FanGraphs. But that's just me.
  3. I don't think a rental if Iglesias brings in a top 50 type prospect. That's a huge overpay. BUT if it did, he should be dealt immediately.
  4. Angels currently losing 9-0 after 4 innings. Can Minasian go into sell mode now?????
  5. No cuz we'd give away assets to get him to only have our bullpen blow his dominant starts...
  6. Minasian was the one who said he believes Fletcher is a GG second baseman. So yeah, to your point, they should leave him there.
  7. If the Angels traded Detmers then I think we'd all arrive at the front office with torches and pitchforks....
  8. I think at the end of Friday we will all see the Angels make 1 or 2 moves but keep Cobb and Iglesias to give us "a chance". It's going to be another basic trade deadline for the Angels. Maybe they DFA Quintana and Bundy to replace with Rodriguez and Detmers... but that's it. Just a chance should everything.... and i mean everything....go right.
  9. If we're talking about a good deal for those two guys then you'd have to assume Cobb and Iglesias to either one of those same teams would be great.
  10. Good thoughts. Number 5 could really be useful going forward as well. Seems like the majority of teams (Padres, Giants, Dodgers, Rays, etc.) are looking at top arms first. So let's assume Scherzer, Gray, Kimbrel, Gibson and Berrios are priority. If these guys get dealt then I'd expect the teams who missed on these guys would be calling about Cobb, Iglesias and maybe Heaney and Mayers. I'd imagine the Angels would be last to trade these guys as they'll wait and see what the return looks like for the others first. It's going to be a waiting game. Still think a Cobb/Iglesias package fits very well with the Dodgers. They need both.
  11. I wouldn't by giving up Adams and Adell in the same deal. Unless you can get Paiges back from Dodgers in another deal. Would still only give Adell away for guy like Marquez, Castillo, Mize or Gore, but even that gets problematic.
  12. The Rays are interested in Scherzer, Bryant and Gibson. No way the Angels can outbid those guys hahahahahhaa
  13. I'd do it, but value-wise it'd probably cost Adell, Canning, Adams and Peris which us steep. But if it meant extensions it'd be worth taking a look at. Only concern is trading two of our top outfield prospects away.... Unless we can give Iglesias and Cobb to the Dodgers for Pages.
  14. Eppler did this same thing. Then again, since we've had Trout, the Angels have never really been a sell team. At least not in the last few years. We all say buy or sell, but really they'll move move expiring contracts and "leave the team competitive"...
  15. I agree and this is the issue I have. Once August rolls around we play a big number of teams over .500. We're about to get our asses kicked while sitting on our thumbs. At this point I don't even want the to rush Trout back. Test results said he's fine, but just let it fully heal and come back mid-end of August.
  16. Oh my bad, I see what you're saying. You're right he would be the only one to technically hurt us.... But if it's a lost season then maybe it actually helps us.... Better draft slot!
  17. Sorry, but they should SELL, SELL, SELL. They can't beat teams that are over .500, the bullpen is a MASSIVE question mark and who knows when Trout returns. Not to mention, Rendon is out and Upton is 1 for his last 15 since returning. Seems like the old Upton we remember. They need to sell Cobb, Heaney, Iglesias and Mayers and call up Detmers, Rodriguez and Adell and let these kids get ready.
  18. With the reports of the #Angels in a tough spot and not sure what direction to take in terms of being buyers or sellers I become more increasingly worried. I think it's very clear that the Angels are not in a good position to make a playoff push. They are 26-41 against teams over .500 and are still not sure when Trout will return. With Trout and Rendon out and Upton 1 for his last 15, it should be very clear with what direction the Angels should take. And I haven't even mentioned the bullpen. Hopefully Cobb, Heaney, Mayers and (R) Iglesias and maybe others are on the trading block. If they are, they can hopefully net us some bullpen arms that can make an impact for the 2022 season. Call up Detmers, Rodriguez and Adell and let these kids soak it in for a month. Then come back in 2022 with a healthy team and compete with financial flexibility.
  19. Great post @totdprods. I really enjoy looking at these. As hard as it is to stomach (due to So-Cal pride and rivalry), I REALLY like the trade options with the Dodgers. Jesus it feels weird saying that. Given their Bauer situation and the imploding bullpen, they really are down on their luck. With Heaney, Cobb, Iglesisas and Mayers likely moveable (assuming Minasian realizes we should sell), the Angels can really help their chances for 2022. I still like the idea of getting Andy Pages (thanks Arte). And I wouldn't mind a package deal of Gray and Pages for Adell and someone....
  20. Fletcher is going to mash to lead the AL in BA and then Ohtani will keep doing his thing with the HRs and RBIs and collectively they will take the triple crown threat away from Guerrero Jr. Ohtani MVP haha
  21. Those stats alone should indicate the Angels needing to sell off for the season. There's no chance they compete for a WC spot when they can't beat the teams they need to beat.
