Is Jahmai Jones worth it to throw into the mix for LF? Decent obp/speed. Although used at 2B more he had some OF experience so the move shouldn’t be too hard should it? For at least the time being couldn’t he play OF. Isn’t he one of the high upside guys? Maybe Jarrett Parker is worth a look at when he gets healthy

Honestly I laughed because it wasn’t so much what he said but the way he sounded and how butthurt he was. The way he acted like he was entitled to Trout and lashed out with moronic stuff when it didn’t happen was what made me laugh at him. Oh and he lost 2000 bucks betting on Trout to Philly.

Cahill was able to hit 95mph in the spring when his average fast velocity was a couple mph slower with the A’s. Hopefully he keeps it up. Having Lucroy, a catcher who caught for him last year doesn’t hurt either.

I’m optimistic that Justin Bour plays relatively well and takes at bats away from Pujols. Pujols just grounds into too many rally killing double plays. Pujols better be on the bench if he isn’t playing decent when Ohtani returns. Also I look forward to watching the young players get more experience and hopefully a young player establishes himself as the closer.

375/10 years seems like a fair offer. It takes him through his age 38 season. Maybe structure the deal so that Trout gets paid under in 2021 so the last year of Pujols and 1st year of Trout’s megadeal won’t kill the payroll. Also Simmons should be contacted about an extension. If Mookie Betts ever becomes a free agent I hope we consider him because an OF of Adell Trout and Betts would be amazing. If Trout refuses our best offer we have to trade him, and also trade everyone outside of Simmons, Ohtani and Pujols(maybe keep Skaggs or Heaney)to start with a clean slate and add prospects to the future team

A guy I have been keeping an eye on is Greg Holland. Had a bad start to last season with St. Louis but rebounded rather nicely when Washington signed him. I don’t think he will cost that much and I think he makes sense on a one year deal. The pen is young and struggled to close games last year and a veteran presence who can close should help as a stop gap until one of the young arms establishes themselves as a long term closer. If Holland works out and by July the team is going nowhere he is another trade chip.

Hey @krAbs I’m very sorry to hear about your loss. I haven’t been on AW in awhile and I just saw this post today. My condolences to you and your family. Although I don’t know your father personally, reading the anecdotes of users that knew him gave me the sense that he was a good guy. May he Rest In Peace. Pujols either hits 50 or more home runs in 2019 or retires some point between now and 2020 would be good. There is no middle ground

With Lucroy on board doesn’t seem likely Grandal is an option. What about Andrelton Simmons? Strikes out way less than most guys, gets on base at a pretty good clip, can definitely steal some bases and an ok amount of power. If he can take more walks I’d give him the job.

For a few million bucks if he can help out young pitching the Angels could call up this year, I’ll take it.

Any word on Kikuchi? He must sign an mlb deal by 1/2 or he remains in Japan.
