I don’t disagree. But the lack of a long term stadium plan is a huge issue for anybody looking to acquire the club. And who knows what happens with the FBI investigation into the city of Anaheim.

I don't think Vegas is on the table. Moving them there would cut the value of the franchise significantly simply based on market potential/population compared to LA/OC. Who knows though, maybe Arte doesn't care so much about the value of the franchise now that he's decided to keep it?

I agree. The current stadium location is the ideal spot from a business standpoint and for the vast majority of the fan base. It's just hard to see Arte successfully negotiating a new stadium deal after the events of the last 3 years. Long Beach or Carson has to be on the table and LA county is the place he could take the team that wouldn't significantly decrease the value of the team. It'll be an interesting season on the field and off it.

Well the thing is, they are already "LA" so it becomes a question of marginal benefit if they move north.
If they build the Long Beach stadium I really cant see the OC soccer moms taking their kids out to the park. In fact I can see a significant amount of the current fan base swearing off the team for a move like that. 

I think a new stadium in LA county is on the table, but realistically the Angels are already in the best spot possible for them geographically. Anything north of Cypress is already Dodger country and south of San Clemente is a whole lot of nothing until you get into San Diego. Moving north takes them further from the fan base. and moving south doesnt really get them any closer to anything.

One thing is for sure... AW is the place to be when news like this hits the fan.  The entertainment value is over the top.

Now that Arte is back at the helm.  My fear now is that not only will we lose Ohtani in the offseason to free agency, but we won't trade him either.  

Lol, history tells you the answer here and you will be very wrong. These organizations aren't depreciating and one player isn't going to change the value the way in which you are perceiving.

What a shitshow.  If Ohtani isn't extended, then I really don't get the point of him keeping the team, especially since by all indications his kids don't want to run the team in the long run (maybe that has changed?).

A single unified philosophy from top to bottom.   No limits on collecting smart people at any level of the org.   a proper marriage of analytics and conventional scouting Keep Ohtani but winning take precedent over star power.    Reasonable budget flexibility not a semblance of the pennywise pound foolish mentality Build teams on a yearly with the future in mind.  Don't constantly live year to year.   Appropriate resources at all levels without sacrificing the lower levels for short term gain at the major league level

I have no idea if Adell is pissed or not (nor do I care). As far as anyone knows, he took the Angel logo or whatever he did off his IG because he's not on the team tight now... as in he's a whatever our AAA team is called, not an Angel.
That said...
Maybe 2 years ago I watched Adell his a big home run in the late innings. When he did so, he pimped it hard.
I commented on here that he needs to relax that shit. He needs to keep his head down and mouth shut until he's actually good. And a few people here rolled their eyes at me in the comments.
And here we are...
Don't announce you've arrived if you're still on the freeway, so to speak...
He's a very talented athlete, and I hope for the teams sake (and his) that he figures it out and ends up being a star baseball player.
But he also needs to accept reality. That as of now all the talent in the world so far hasn't translated to success. I have no idea what needs to happen for him to make it, and I hope he and his people figure it out and he crushes.
But until then, don't pimp a home run when you suck, on both sides of the ball, 90 percent of the rest of the time.
