  1. I've been texting today with one of my best friends who is a die hard Dodgers fan. He's nervous as hell. I remember feeling that way in October and I miss it.
  2. It's been more than two decades since I've seen A Clockwork Orange but I'm 90% sure the droogs wore those.
  3. As a general rule, if there is any ambiguity whatsoever, the call goes in favor of the Boston team.
  4. As Jack Morris would say with an Armenian accent: "be very very careful"
  5. Are there really? (I'm being serious with that question, not snarky.) I paid less attention this season than any other season of my adult life. I still browsed game threads on AW two or three times per week, but I probably spent 25% of the time on AW that I normally have in the last 12 years. Are there really people who still say "Damn the haters, Arte Moreno is doing a good job!"?
  6. “There’s a faulty process within their organization” It's early in the segment but my favorite line from the whole thing.
  7. It's probably like #8 and the top 7 are all Red Sox-Yankees games.
  8. The Cardinals deserved to lose on that pitch. All Albert can hit anymore is a fastball and they grooved him one 3-0.
  9. Seeing him do that wouldn't bother me too much. Hearing the B-rate TBS announcers drone on about it would be awful. And of course I would avoid reading all media for a couple of days and the inevitable "The Angels paid Pujols to win the Wild Card Game for the Dodgers" comments (which lazily ignore that releasing Albert freed up at-bats for Walsh and Ohtani, who were both far better than he was). Fuck, now that I wrote that all out, I think there's a 60% chance it happens.
  10. I do not trust the organization to evaluate the prospects - or even the "front-line starter" - that it would get in return. I can see the Angels ending up with a few crappy prospects and a front line starter who isn't as good as Ohtani.
  11. If you are unable to develop your own pitching, unwilling to tank/rebuild to acquire other teams' good young pitching, and unwilling to overpay for free agent pitching, what options are left?
  12. I tend to agree with the people who think last year's title is real; it's just so much fun to remind my Dodgers friends - all of whom are scared the Giants will win the 4th title of the last dozen years - that it wasn't a real season.
  13. This is probably correct. Which is why it never gets old saying it to Dodgers fans.
  14. It never gets old pointing out that their 2020 "title" has an asterisk next to it. I cannot imagine how much more fun it would be if they can't even win the Wild Card game this season. "Yeah, you guys won that 60-game mini season. But you couldn't win in a real season and you still can't."
  15. They have been far more fun than the actual games the last two months.
  16. "You better take a long, hard look at your chosen profession, my friend, because it doesn't get any easier."
  17. No point arguing. Marsh will be playing center soon enough when Trout gets hurt again.
  18. 2020 was going to be their year. I predicted they would win 105 games. I feel bad for them that the season was only 60. Wait... no I don't. Fuck the A's.
  19. Remember the last weekend of 2013 when the Angels just needed to take one of four from Texas to eliminate them from the postseason? The Angels got swept. (Texas then lost a one-game playoff to Tampa Bay.) That was beyond frustrating. I would prefer not to see that again.
  20. If the draft pick is going to be made by the guy who assembled this bullpen, IDGAF.
