    I can't blame any of you. I still remember the Michigan game in '00; I think it was 110 in the stadium. You couldn't pay me to do that again.

    Several people I know said they had no interest in attending a 12:30 start time on a 90º+ day. If they had known UCLA was gonna put up more than 40 points, I imagine many of them would have gone. But I don't blame anyone for being skeptical of UCLA football after the last... well, two decades.

    When the guy in charge of making that pick is the same guy who put together this bullpen, does it matter at all? I don't hate the team. I'm not angry. I just no longer care. There has never been a moment - since I attended my first Angels game at the ago of 7 (they were playing the Orioles that day, too) - when I have cared less about the Angels than I do right now.

    And looking good in CF. I would have no problem with him playing it next season with Trout in left. You know, assuming Trout is back next season.

    The last few years I have said "Well, maybe if a couple of these one-year rental pitchers work out and at least one of the pitching prospects is good..." Before 2022, I will say the same thing, but also add "and maybe if Trout plays more than 140 games for the first time in six years..." And I really fucking hate that.

    I've watched less Angels baseball this August than any other month of my adult life. If Ohtani weren't playing, I quite possibly would have watched none.

    I'm cooking pizzas in the outdoor pizza oven this evening while drinking beer and watching the game al fresco. I went inside to grab a couple of ingredients - it feels like 90 seconds - and came back to find the game 2-0. I hate this season. Just like the last few.

    That's a relief to hear but as others have mentioned, that's still a LOT for brakes. This is a mechanic, right? You're not taking it to be serviced by the dealership, right?
