GrittyVeterans got a reaction from Taylor in Sports just got really lame
The radical left is going to take any opportunity to push their politics on us. It’s up to the rational moderate people that remain to reject it.
the major scary part about it is that you are now vilified and condemned unless you take a strong stance to the left on it.
This will only get worse as the mob continues to radicalize more (mostly young) people

GrittyVeterans got a reaction from Tank in Sports just got really lame
I'm personally white and will not stop watching. I like sports too much to do something like that.
I'm not agitated at the players, I'm irritated at the interpretation of the message that many of the BLM mob has about this. They think it's an excuse to belittle, shame, and antagonize people that just want to watch their sports again in peace some day. A person like Jemelle Hill is the leader of this disgusting behavior.
I'll never stand behind that

It is what it is. I'm fine with them using their platform to speak out however they feel.
What I don't like is the mob mentality from the left that if you don't 100% believe politics and sports should aways be intertwined that you are then "privileged" or a "racist".
I think having sports as an outlet from the other harder parts of life is something we should again strive for hopefully in the near future.

Yes, those radical leftists and their demands for police be held accountable when they kill citizens.

Nah, the big domino to fall is still Trump winning the election in November, if it happens.
The country is going to burn. The athletes are going to cry

GrittyVeterans reacted to Chuck in Brewers/Reds, Mariners/Padres, Dodgers/Giants among teams to boycott and postpone their games tonight
How about get the facts straightened out from a full investigation before boycotting, rioting, looting or fanning the flames of racism & furthered violence from the mob?
Professional sports is quickly becoming way to woke for me.

Interviewing an African American woman (assuming she identifies as such) for a Sales VP role today. @Taylor am I required to hire her?

GrittyVeterans reacted to Blarg in Sports just got really lame
In this thread: memebers of a forum community talk about the impact on sports franchises when they choose to leave the confines of their industry to be involved in social strife and alienating fans. Long term will it do more harm to professional sports than it's intended stance?

GrittyVeterans got a reaction from Stradling in Ryu to Toronto 4/$80m
No one predicted this sharp of a decline but there were several people who didn't like giving a 30+ year old declining defender that kind of money and for 5 seasons.
At a certain point you have to place accountability on the GM for the moves that work out. Just like you give him credit for the moves that worked (Simmons, Bundy, Ohtani, Trout extension, Rendon).
I'm not an Eppler hater but this is just common sense

GrittyVeterans got a reaction from m0nkey in Blue Jays are monitoring multiple Angels players
You guys all sure turned on Adell remarkably quickly. Almost everyone was against trading him for 5 years of Yellich at a ridiculously cheap price. And now want him traded for another prospect(Groshans?) that was lower ranked 4 months ago? Seems absurd to me to change your mind that radically based on 20 ballgames

GrittyVeterans got a reaction from Angel Oracle in Bad News Angels
They have 120 million committed to 4 position players next year
2 of those players are great and 2 of them are really bad.

Most people believed he was untouchable 2 weeks ago.... Now its this. Goes to show you people don't really see guys so much as they read the hype and buy into it. Adell is exactly the same guy he was 2 weeks ago. More importantly, he's exactly the same guy he was last fall when he was generating all the hype.

GrittyVeterans got a reaction from Angel Oracle in Gameday Thread: Angels vs. Astros (8/25/2020) - Let's play TWO
Thaiss was certainly not a good selection so far. 25 years old and hasn’t done anything. The jury is still out on most of the players Eppler drafted. But he traded Will Wilson just to get rid of Cozart
