Remember all the rumors about arte moving the team to Mexico?
    We brought TJ here.

    Are you kidding?!
Fister is running for his life right about now. If he's smart, he's putting distance between himself and an Angels pitching mound.
He'd like to keep his arm in one piece so he can hold his grandchildren some day.

I'm just going to say that the Yankees aren't very good.  They have a good record, but they are not great.  Lots of really good offensive players that are hitting well, but not a good team.  Just to be clear, I am not saying we are better, but if this is a team we would play in a wild card game or a series, we would absolutely hold our own.

You just know it will be Street vs Judge in the 9th somehow with runners on base

Unless Mike was just funnin' with us in the pregame show, Street won't pitch tonight in anything like a pressure point. He'll get his feet wet again IF it's a blowout in either direction.

Well Cron's been pretty horrible so that shouldn't be hard to replace. You can add a power 1B for probably 8-10 million in the offseason that hits .250 with 25 home runs(Mitch Moreland? Adam Lind?). Would be an upgrade to be honest

I know Cron has had some success the previous 2 years and could still bounce back, but the guy has a .562 OPS in mid-June. Patience has got to be wearing thin with Eppler

And nor should he sell unless this team falls out of the wildcard race completely. You get 4 or 5 guys healthy (Trout, Skaggs, Shoemaker, Richards) going down the stretch, Maybin/Calhoun/Simmons keep playing like this, this team has a chance at advancing. They have the best player in the world on their side

Too bad because he looked promising a few years ago. but he hasn't developed. Time to DFA him and give someone else a chance in his place

This teams problem is the farm system, which is on Moreno/Reagins/Dipoto. Eppler so far has done a great job (Simmons, Maldonado, Maybin, Meyer, the bullpen, etc). This team had no pitching depth coming into the season according to everyone, has sustained crazy bad luck with injuries to all their key pitchers, yet they are hanging in there and getting serviceable innings out of JC Ramirez, Alex Meyer, and Parker Bridwell.

Let's let Eppler have his crack at this. So far the results he's gotten out of reclamation projects have shown a legitimate ability to evaluate talent, something Reagins and Dipoto flat out were not capable of

All we can do is assume that the luck is going to turn around at some point, and we'll get a few breaks. We have a ton of money to spend with Hamilton's disaster contract being gone. You get some luck and a couple good free agents (a bat and a pitcher), all of a sudden you have a very talented team pushing for 90 wins next year. For the first time in a decade I feel comfortable with our front office, so it wouldn't surprise me

Nice job of labeling. Someone should tell this fool that she has a name. The universe doesn't joke around? Does that mean Scalise deserved to be shot?
