Absolutely. At this point, it's totally fair to wonder whether we'll get anything from Trout and (especially) Rendon, but you also don't have to squint too hard to see strong seasons from either or both. Neither is particularly old. The vets, like Ward, Drury, Rengifo, and Hicks all were above average hitters last season. The kids - O'Hoppe, Neto, Schanuel, Moniak, and Adell - all have to some extent the ability to break out in a big way. 
But, like you said, Trout and/or Rendon could have just another crappy injury-filled season, the vets could regress, and the kids could fail to take the next step, and we could have a bottom tier offense. There's a ton of volatility - and my biggest concern is that we really need more infield depth. Bringing in a JD Martinez would be huge, imo. 

They literally just added the 9 OPS projections and divided by 9.  I guess that's technically an average, but it's not like everyone is going to get the same amount of playing time.  Lol.  Kind of a silly way to do it.

That’s why I wanted them to snag JD Davis. It made way too much sense to have insurance at 1st and 3rd and also a good bat.

El Rojo will always be one of my favorites.  He certainly played the game the right way.  Even if he never did figure out how to hit the ball up the middle or to the opposite field.

It could be the Angels were working on a deal with Snell, Boras and co weren’t sold on the offer and wanted to wait a few more days and now the Astros are jumping in. Making it a little more complicated. 
 
these types of things move fast, especially with injuries. I don’t think stradling ever said Snell was 100% going to be an Angel. He mentioned it could get done and they were working on a deal. The angels have missed out on Carl Crawford, Mark Texiera, and Adrian Beltre off the top of my head when we all thought we had deals done with those guys.

It was incredibly boring. And kind of pathetic to watch 14 K's and not a single hard hit ball. 
I think it'd be more fun to have a mini-futures game. Each team send 3-4 guys and you do an AL - NL showdown at Salt River. I would definitely watch Dana, Rada, and Joyce in a game like that.

Spring training blah blah blah--but I am now officially worried about both Trout and Rendon heading into the season.  I sincerely hope they can both find their rhythm over the last several games heading into the regular reason.
