Incredibly stupid.  Scioscia was pulling this shit years ago.... even in 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, and 2009. He got an insane extension and keeps getting verbal fellatio from everyone in the media, though.  Mind boggling.

I find it hard to believe they are being that cheap.  Then again, they are when it comes to contract renewals... even if they have a player that has one of the best rookie seasons ever.  

It's super irritating that Moreno seems to have no problem setting suitcases of money on fire to sign ridiculous deals for Hamilton, Wells, Pujols, Mike Scioscia and others yet pulls all kinds of petty nickel and dime nonsense with our best young players.

The Angels need Vargas back quick and Richards needs to establish himself as a starter if the Halos have a shot at this.

How is it any more boring than any other game? It's a 9 inning baseball game where none of the guys suck. I still enjoy watching it

Finally watched Knuckleball.  If you don't root for these guys, you are an asshole.  
 
There always seems to be 2 or 3 knuckleballers.  It is kinda surprising... especially when a guy like Dickey has a run like he has... that more people don't try it.  

Plus, the Angels already had solid middle infielders locked up to reasonable deals... and a decent prospect at 3B.  Segura probably wouldn't have even gotten a look this year.  

So, not that much bias. 
 
It exists, and there are business reasons for it, but at the same time, west coast fans are looking for it... and crying about it when it isn't really there.
