  1. No to Freese, Cowart, and Kubitza. I want someone else. No clue who but not those 3.
  2. I also think Zobrist is going to go for way more than what he's worth. I can see his production dropping soon and it wasn't that great to start with.
  3. Let's take a step back on Murphy. Do we really want to try and get the guy in the midst of him elevating himself to a legend? Only one direction to go from here and his price is more than it ever has been or ever will be.
  4. I'll eat my left shoe if Machado or Arenado get dealt this off season.
  5. Newcomb better pan out or we are missing out on a lot of potential deals due to him being untouchable.
  6. This thread really depresses me regarding the current state of the halos.
  7. Who really gives a crap. Oh the poor pitcher making millions per year doesn't want to get his feelings hurt. Why are we so set in protecting the feelings of grown men? He should be able to flip the bat, point at the pitcher, and say take that $&?@!" The batter won and these are grown men. How they react to each other is up to what these grown men want to do.
  8. Joe Torre talking about it didn't help any. He sounded confused and unsure of the rules himself. http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/mets/post/_/id/111882/joe-torre-offers-mlb-viewpoint-on-chase-utleys-little-late-slide
  9. I googled a Phillies forum, just to see how classy they are staying about his situation. Here's some of what's being said: "Chase being Chase, dat's ma boy!" "Stop being a pussy tejada" "Tejada shouldn't be near 2b if he don't want his legs broken!" "Classic Utley, hardnose ball ala Pete Rose. Keepin' it real!" "Utley just saved the dodgers season with this amazing slide"
  10. Dirty slide and it's crazy we allow a defenseless 2b to take on this but protect fully gear protected catchers. I wonder if utley will get plunked in his next AB?
  11. I think Santiago is the odd man out. He has some trade value after his best season. Way too many lefties around and he's the one that would get us the best return for what we are losing.
  12. If you asked Matt Williams yesterday he probably would have said he plans to manage the Nationals next season.
  13. Quite a turn for him over the past year. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/13814518/washington-nationals-fire-manager-matt-williams I can't help but wonder what would happen on these forums if we read a headline today "Angels fire Mike Scioscia and entire coaching staff"?
  14. Shoemaker had value last year. This year, we would be lucky to get a mop up reliever for him.
  15. Maybe he'll find his inner Barry Bonds as he ages!
  16. Umm isn't this just how sports work? And even life in general?
  17. Just wait til he pitches against Tex to see what we say about him.
  18. How many RBIs would Trout have if you stuck him in the 3 slot in Toronto's lineup? I'm sure there's a calculator out there for this.
  19. Here's a corner outfield we should pursue... http://m.mlb.com/news/article/150897390/cuban-lazarito-armenteros-seeks-free-agency
