    The first two games were winnable with one clutch hit in each. The Angels easily could have been up 2-1 now with Weaver going against Guthrie. It was the offense and particularly the big Three that cost the Angels this series. A quick look at this team going forward I see a dismal future. Calhoun, Trout, Richards and Shoemaker are the only building blocks. That leaves a ton of holes to fill with a very weak system, especially with position players.

    The 10 game winning streak happened with Hammy out of the lineup. We need a 3 game streak to move on. Bench Hammy and play Navarro. If by some miracle this team moves on drop Hamilton from the 25 man and tell him to take the rest of the post season off. He is basically worthless at this point.

    Remember who the ten game winning streak was against. The Angels have not handled good pitching all season. This will be tough to win 3 of 4, but it is doable. Stay positive.

    He has been terrible the last several starts, gaining up a lot of big flys. Jump on him early and take a lead into the seventh to minimize their pen.

    Shoe has been great against the other team's ace this season. Game three will be either Shields or Lester. I like Shoe going against those guys not Wilson. On the other hand, if it goes five games I sure don't want Nibs pitching.

    The second run was thanks to Thatcher. Rasmus has been very good in his starts. He will be valuable in the PS.

    No chance he is on the roster. All ythe righties in the pen are better at getting lefties out. What a wasted trade that was.

    Thoughlay Lester and Gray can be very tough I would still rather play Oak. Their offense is as non existent as the Angels but their defense is very suspect. The Royals have some pesky hitters, a ton of speed and a very tough pen. The Halos match up much better with Oakland. That said, the Angels will win in four games.

    I think Wilson will be on a short leash next season. If he can't throw strikes and go more than 5 innings with his 100 pitches he would be bad on the pen. Weaver Shoemaker Santiago Rasmus FA signing (they won't give up a first rounder) Richards in May The problem is not having starting pitching in the upper minors. Injuries to the staff may be harder to overcome than this season.

    The new committee to explore ways to speed up the game will probably recommend Wilson be banned from baseball.

    Though not the Albert of St Louis, he has had a very productive season. he has really stepped it up the last 6 weeks. He could be a major force in the post season.

    With Shoe missing his next start or two and Santiago sucking the last two games, the Angels really need some length. Rucinski should start on Sunday.

    I would love to play the A's in the ALDS. They are a rudderless ship and are very beatable. Teams with no offense are much easier to beat in the post season. The Mariners and Tigers would be much tougher.

    Sosh had to adjust the rotation to get Weaver on track to pitch game one. He can pitch Satuday then next Friday against Seattle. He then will have his usual rest for the opener.

    The problem with starting Santiago and Wilson back to back is they both only give you 2-5 innings. As good as the pen has pitched to be effective in all five games is asking a lot. If Wilson throws well in his last 2-3 starts send him out in game three. Santiago could start game 4 if necessary. If they are down 2-1 send Weaver out on short rest.

    Very opportunistic, but they are beating up on bad pitching. See if they can carry it over to next week when they play Seattle.

    Should be interesting next week when the Strangers come to the Big A. If Trout gets hit again then sh*t could happen.

    No doubt they are rampaging against the lower echelon which is important, but in a short series pitching will be the key. I love the way the pen is performing. It should be a fun ride.

    Other than catcher, 3rd base is probably the weakest position in MLB. The Angels need to draft and produce their own. Too bad Cowart bombed out.
