Catwhoshatinthehat got a reaction from Jason in Gavin Newsom to propose universal health care for Californians
I think we are already there and I continue to come across people who are born and raised here that are talking about getting out because of liberal policies that continue to squeeze the middle class. This state has some of the worst roads/infrastructure in the country and they're counting on a handout from the feds to help fix problems that should have been addressed years ago in state. No amount of squeezing the rich or even middle class is going to fund what what some people are proposing.

Catwhoshatinthehat got a reaction from Adam in Down memory lane
I know in HS he was straight laced but who knows what he was like then. What he did was definitely premeditated and the name and info he gave the girl was that of one of our friends who I still know to this day. Makes me think it's one of those situations where he thought he could outsmart authorities. Hopefully the girl has moved past it as much as possible and good for her friend for helping cops lure him out when he planned to do it again.

What a bunch of negative Nellies. Clearly the bullet train will help pay for all of this once it's up and running.

Why take a flight that's less than an hour when you can take a train that takes almost 3 hours? The budget drain, I mean bullet train should have been built years ago.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that if my employer tried to roll me onto anything the state of CA puts out I'd be looking for a new job or moving out of state.

Catwhoshatinthehat got a reaction from Tank in Wally Joyner attending our AngelsWin.com Spring Fanfest tonight
Joyner was my favorite player as a kid. Somewhere I have a signed card of his as he went to the grocery store my mom's friend worked at and she got him to sign a few cards for me and her son. Somewhere I also have polaroids of when I went to fan appreciation day back in 89 or 90 and got to go on the field getting pictures with Joyner, Lance Parrish and Chili Davis. Glad to hear it went will wish I could have made it.

Catwhoshatinthehat got a reaction from Tank in New Republican Health Care
The problem with politicians in general is that none of them act with long term interests in mind. They rushed to pass ACA and now they're rushing to "replace" it while they should be looking at what's working and building on that. Deficit spending has become a way of life for the last 3+ decades while they continue to screw over future generations by using future dollars for current votes. We could go on all day but 99% of the time they say/do whatever they need to toe the party line and get re-elected at the expense of others.

Catwhoshatinthehat got a reaction from Lou in Trumped
Please explain how what I said is hypocritical and how I'm privileged. I laughed at the reps when they dropped the ball in 2012, I've criticized both sides at different times and I've voted for candidates from both parties in major elections. I think you meant to say I am indifferent which I'm not I just don't let the results of an election ruin my day or turn me into an angry person who attacks others because like most things in my life I control 99% of the outcome not the president, governor, mayor, etc. You know nothing about me other than whatever assumptions you continue to make based on a few message board posts. Those assumptions are driven by the fact that you don't agree with me and continue to talk down to me and anyone else that doesn't agree with you.
As of late in this forum you can't can't seem to post without constantly attacking people you don't agree with or getting in some little jab which is quite petulant. I really hope it doesn't bleed into your work because then you'll end up one of those angry teachers who spends half of class complaining about how they're underpaid and under appreciated instead of actually doing their job. Everyone here had a teacher like that and they remember them for the wrong reasons.

Catwhoshatinthehat reacted to mtangelsfan in Oscars with a Steve Harvey ending
Had no interest in listening to rich hollywood actors talking about politics all night long.
Wonder how the ratings were.

61 is way too young. He was great in a lot of movies mentioned and Frailty is really underrated. RIP.
