I think you have to go what with what gives you the best chance to win this early in the season. They at least have to pretend to compete. Hicks/Sano might not be on the team in June. Adell and Moniak will get plenty of at bats.

Sandoval is doing nothing to diminish my sneaking suspicion that he's toast. My guess is that he finishes the year as the 4th or 5th (best) starter.

I think the most informative thing from that article is that the Rendon and Trout injuries have seemingly scared him away from spending.

Slightly off topic, but some guy named Ohtani for the Dodgers hit a home run today.

It’s painful to listen to him.  He’s perfect for a 9 year old passionate fan that innocently loves the team, and that’s kind of it.

Moniak is not very good. Very streaky and prone to slump. He is not a lead off hitter. It not like he is going to steal 50 bags so Wash's idea about clogging up the bases is silly. Schanuel or Ward are better choices.
 

Mickey Moniak batting leadoff is not a good idea. I really hope he changes his mind on that one. 

Sorry, didn't realize you were just going off the projections for this season.  I thought you were saying you were looking at something for his career moving forward.
The record for HR in a single season by a player who primarily played C is 48 (Salvador Perez in 2021).  Johnny Bench is second at 45.  There have only been six total 40+ HR season by a guy who primarily played C.

He had a pretty serious injury last year. Might not be the same guy this year.
