I thought the way you make money in the stock market is to buy low before the price starts rising to maximize your return.

this is the opposite of what you should do.  Buy stock when the price is down and it's undervalued.  

This is a very nice signing. Props to Eppler, but keep it coming.

Also, if the Angels end up signing Kikuchi, your rotation is (likely):
Kikuchi, Skaggs, Harvey, Heaney, Cahill and Barria starting 2019 for a 3 LHP/3 RHP split with "long relievers" Pena and Tropeano available as depth and J.C. Ramirez coming back from Rehab

And, yet, as a fan, I'm not pissed off...

I still don't understand the notion that because the Angels didn't 'try to win' in 2019-2020 it will affect Trout's decision on whether or not to re-sign.
He was here when we 'tried to win' 2011-2015 and all it did was eff up 2016-2020 by clogging payroll and killing the farm. 

If we did that again now, what's to say it doesn't eff up 2020-25?

I'd think re-upping with an Angels team with a loaded farm, young core, and flexible payroll sometime in 19-20 to set the team up for 2020-25 would be a lot more appealing.

The 11-14 million seems too much to me and maybe most of us, but the Angels must have seen something in his time with the Reds that makes them believe he is worth it.  We have to have faith in that.
If the Angels end up signing Kikuchi, then this is a fantastic move.  If Harvey with his bounce back chances is your number five, your rotation is in good shape IMO.

Kind of interesting that minutes after the Ramos news comes out, the Grandal tidbit hits the waves too, given how tight-lipped the Angels are.
Wonder if Ramos is one of the offers Eppler already had put out, and with the way the Angels operate so silently, the Grandal bit might have been fed to nudge Ramos’ camp.
Could also be neither are true. But the timing was curious.

Eh, not crazy about Happ. Hellickson, Pomeranz, Harvey, Sanchez, Holland, Garcia, Lynn, Jackson, Santana, even Martin Perez...any one of them can probably be just as productive as Happ if you get lucky and for millions less.
