We can't really let the inaction of others justify our inaction.

If they're that important then pay them.

Conservatives seem to live in a strange world where the military is not a part of the government.

The government should be asking for anything more until they can prove their ability to spend the money in a sane fashion.

And conservatives for some reason are totally ok with a huge increase in defense spending but an increase in education spending is out of the question.

Get rid of the grass. Save LOTS of water. 
 
My girlfriend and I ripped out most of the grass around her house and did a drought-resistant collection of shrubs and other plantings.  Looks great and water use is minimal with the drip irrigation. 
 
We sold her house and I bought a new house and promptly removed my silly plot of grass and put in more plants and shrubs. 
 
There will be no grass in the back yard either.  Grass is stupid. 

It's arbitrary, but it's the first time that a triple crown winner didn't lead the league in WAR.  By and large, it was by quite a bit.  
 
Cabrera won the next year pretty handily as well without the triple crown and Trout still beat him in overall value.  
 
not only are certain stats arbitrary, but the criteria for MVP changes every year.  
 
Trout will get a few more MVPs.

I'm rooting for CJ. He's not my favorite player, but man he would make this team reeeeally good if he bounces back. Weaver and Wilson are the only guys who you'd depend on to throw 200+ innings; this team needs that. Especially when you consider Richards will probably miss close to a month, Shoemaker is still a bit of question mark, Santiago can't pitch past the 5th inning, you have two rookies in Heaney and Tropeano, and Rasmus isn't being stretched out this spring. He could transform the rotation from good, to great.
