  1. Perhaps he struggles with the relievers and their fastballs? I'd guess that other players would have the same struggles, but I'm totally too lazy to look that up. (This posting shit is exhausting. Going back to lurking.) I do particularly enjoy the fact that Poo-holes is taking walks again.
  2. Silver Lining Alert: According to Tankathon.com, we would draft in the number 11 spot if the season ended today! And, we're one game out of the the top 10! ALSO...next year's draft is supposed to be completely stacked! I say we run those turds out to the mound every fifth day and get us in the top 10!!! ?
  3. Exactly this. These guys are the perfect example of "mid-rotation" starters: Guys that have potential to be a top-of-the-rotation pitcher, but just can't put it all together with any sort of consistency. Is it frustrating? Sure, but that's human nature. Perhaps its our expectations that need to be adjusted.
  4. Players should just fight to abolish the draft.
  5. "Why do they call it Ovaltine? The mug is round. The jar is round. They should call it Roundtine."
  6. Congrats on the book! Looks like a great read.
  7. THIS! It took me years of stubborn refusal, until I just decided to pay up, and it's been fantastic not to see the damn ads all over my phone screen. It has been completely worth the minimal cost.
  8. Lol. It doesn’t say “baseball”. Really any other sport would be weird though.
  9. Good work in this thread, everyone. Really creative stuff here! Thanks for it. ?
  10. That reminds me...can you take a look at the teeth marks in this pencil?
  11. I'm optimistic. 'Cause why the hell not?
  12. My daughter had a similar experience. Accepted to CSUF, Cal Poly Pomona, UCR and rejected by Long Beach State. No rhyme or reason. I had heard that there's a local community college program that funnels the local kids right in to CSULB, which is great for those kids, but does limit some of the applicants from further away.
  13. I used to live in the neighborhood next to the stadium. It was an easy walk and they had some great midweek value games. I was able to see The 66ers there, but Adell didn't play that night. It was right before their All-Star game, and I think he was sitting that night to make the trip.
  14. This is why, in my perfect world, I would hire Scott Boras. Someday....
  15. 4/2/19 10/400, opt out somewhere within first four years. Book It.
