I like the experience this team has vs the 2002 team.
 
The ones without experience (Trout, Calhoun) bring a level of exuberance that the vets will feed off of.

Last nights game was the first time Derek Jeter played at Yankee Stadium that was a meaningless game for the Yanks. Over his 20 year career, the Yankees were mathematically alive for every home game he played in.

I have a lot of respect for Jeter.  My ballbusting has more to do with the media slobbing all over him than it has to do with Jeter himself.

Uh lol. They got cut by HBO. I'm sure they weren't expecting for HBO to cut them short but they had to try and make do. They got one last season so they decided they had to skip forward and get straight to the point. Although I don't think this season is going to be that good, I sure as Hell don't blame the writers. Anything not producing the #s of G.O.T is getting the axe by HBO. Take True Detective as your next example.

what team is prepared for the loss of two starting pitchers in the latter 2/3rds of their season?  generally, the only teams that can over come this type of problem are ones with an excellent farm with upper level SP.  Yet somehow, the Angels lack of depth translated into an incredible run.
 
I felt they overpaid for Street. But the incredible run I mentioned came on the backs of the best pen in the majors.  The halos made it clear they were in the market for a starter but it never materialized.  Even if they got one, it would have been a #4 at best.  Do you really think a mid 4's era innings eater would have had the same effect as street?  Does the addition of a #4 to our current rotation somehow make us a lock for a WS title?  
 
They made the right move.  
 
The rotation is thin as can be, but I'd rather have Street right now than Trevor freakin Cahill.

I think the writers are out of ideas.

Man this show really has tanked.  Patricia Arquette's character is really irritating and annoying.  All the little kid retrospective shit is very annoying and pointless too, like the Sopranos episodes where Tony was in a coma.
