Walsh seems like a fun guy to have around. He appears to be a bit smarter/more media-aware than most players. When I saw the Angels in KC earlier this year he was playing RF. There were some fans giving him some crap (nothing bad... just standard baseball fan heckling), and he would actually interact and talk back a bit. You could tell he was having fun with it.

Yep. I think he was very close with Torii Hunter early on in his career as well.
These guys know it's a business. I'm sure it hurts to lose a teammate as it is for us when a colleague/friend leaves for another company we work with. That said, we get over it fairly quickly after the fact as life goes on.  

All high level prospects seem to have that final level they reach before they really become good major leaguers. Where they just destroy the ball in the minor leagues. Trout had his in the very beginning of 2012. Is Jo having his now?

Comparing his swing year to year it appears that he has reduced his high leg-kick to more of a low toe-slide, so he should have a shorter time to the ball and better timing on the faster stuff. His drive through the ball is excellent, look at his hips at the point of contact on the slo-mo - that ball was never staying in. All seemingly sustainable changes which is very encouraging. I feel much more confident about his MLB future with this swing. Go Jo, prove the doubters wrong sunshine.

This is one of those things where whatever penalty this dude gets it won't be enough. That's some deeply messed up, truly horrible human being shit.

Still amazed Howie retired when he did. He had some really good years there at the end. I’d gladly take him on this team right now.

I don’t think he even has to do that much. I mean if he hits .275/.350/.550 with 30 HR and throws 100+ Innings with like a 3.75 ERA it would be hard not to vote for him.

He destroyed a pitch tonight that should have resulted in a pop up. Imagine if, right now, he hasn't even found his groove hitting.
