I’m more curious about the other 20% of fires “plaguing” downtown LA. Like are we talking volcanic activity, a hot war between rats in the sewer system somewhere, an absurd amount of restaurant kitchen fires, @Tank going on an all broccoli diet?

Or really just like skipping your turn in the rotation and adding in an off day somewhere. I'd say it's gotta be 15 to start having real teeth.

I hear ya. He’s definitely streaky, but I think him being in the leadoff spot might be the difference maker this time

I’ve been on three cruises myself. One to the west coast of Mexico when I was like 18 (PV, Mazatlan, Cabo), one to Alaska, and one to the Caribbean. All were solid, but very different. The first one to Mexico was pretty awesome all around. The last one to the Caribbean was ok. Food was good, but like 90% of the staff just seemed super depressed, which made it kinda sad. Plus we had to skip one port (Jamaica) because of weather.
The one to Alaska was pretty cool though because I sort of went as hybrid passenger/crew. My dad’s “retirement job” was working as a musical director/piano player for various cruise lines/ships. So he sort of managed all of the musicians on whatever boat he was on, then would also play 5-6 gigs with various groups or by himself throughout the day. At the time I graduated college he was working a Vancouver to Alaska job and couldn’t come to my graduation. He felt bad about that, and he offered to fly me to Vancouver so we could meet up and spend a week on the ship together. It was a really cool experience, because while I could operate as a normal passenger in terms of food/drink/entertainment I was technically considered crew. So I had access to both the public areas and private areas of the ship. Getting to know the employee culture was super fun. Like there was a crew only bar way below deck that was only open from 1-6AM. People there were from literally all over the world, tons of different languages being spoken, crazy cheap drinks (a Jack and coke for instance was 50 cents), everybody hooking up with everybody, just fucking wild.

Really happy Upton is playing so well with Trout out. But this is just classic Upton. Dude gets red hot for three weeks then ice cold for two weeks. At the end of the year it ends up with him being pretty decent overall. I’m just glad he’s chosen this time to get hot.

Ward now has a .756 OPS.
May have to put him in RF regularly, when Trout comes off the DL.

I think from a stuff standpoint Sandoval is probably a top 4 pitcher on this team. I’d put Ohtani, C-Rod, and Iglesias ahead of him, but that’s it.

I think Rendon is just a guy that needs consistent ABs to get/keep his swing right. Him dealing with so many injuries early this season obviously messed with that. Now that he’s healthy and getting ABs every day we’re starting to see the real Rendon.

George strikes me as an extraordinarily stupid and insecure man. His killing of Trayvon Martin was a result of those two things more than overt racism in my opinion.
