Yep. Loved Brandon. Always treated everyone with respect and kindness. Didn't matter who you were, he was always open to have a conversation.

I like Perry. He'll prob be a fine GM for another team. This job was probably just a stepping stone for him.

I like when people say the new owner could be worse. Well, 28 other teams have made the post season in the last 8 years. So, I don't know how the new owner could be any worse unless they want to move the team out of SoCal.

Well this is a result of Moreno’s philosophy as it relates to marketing the team. Winning has never been a priority, it’s always come after selling the fans on recognizable names and a healthy operating profit.
Building a team around young players means passing on recognizable names and faces. A youth focused rebuild is the antithesis of this strategy. This is not a front office baseball philosophy, it comes from the business side of the operation.

Arte inherited a WS team and rode the success and great farm system built by Stoneman. As soon as Arte had to fill the GM position it was a quick slide from yearly to contention yearly mediocrity.
Autry was the founding owner and didn't meddle like Arte. It's also much harder to build a winner as a young franchise, especially one being built in the shadow of the dodgers.

From what I remember, he hired capable baseball executives and let them do their jobs without interfering, or meddling. Sometimes to the detriment of the team like when he let his favorite player Nolan Ryan leave because Buzzie Bavasi thought he was done and could be replaced with two 8-7 pitchers. Arte has always hired beginners, and probably had the lowest paid GM's in the game. I think Arte thinks he knows how to build a baseball roster, I don't think Gene ever thought that.

Loser organization.  Laughingstock in MLB and worst than the A’s.
You got to wonder if Arte realizes how much he’s mocked around the league and by fans (except for random delusional angel fans).
