Starting with your first point, because this always kills me... No. The Taliban are Paks, funded by the Saudis, that emerged years after the Soviets withdrew And they then went to war with the former Muj who we supported with money, through Pakistan. AQ at its core was a rich Saudi and an Egyptian, who never were part of American aid. And they've admitted so themselves. The rest of the core group at the beginning was, surprise surprise, Palestians and Eqyptians (look up MAK). This idea you're posting is a classic case of taking nuggets of truth and forming "the story". And it's not your fault. Lazy people trumped this up 2 decades ago, assuming that all Afghans must be the same ones we helped arm in the 80s. (Here's a hint, there's a reason just after 9/11 that the ones we were able to get to join us just happened to be the ones the Taliban had already been fighting the previous 5 years. It's because those were the ones we had funded the previous decade). But literally NONE of this, including Iraq, have ANYTHING to do with Isreal / Palestine. And the Palestinian terror groups emerged literally 20 years before the Soviets invaded Afghanistan. Your point that we support bad guys who are of help to us is correct. And we have f*cked up a million parts of the world because of it. That doesn't make it the cause of everything bad. Suggesting it does is simply lazy.

Yeah, no. Believe it or not the US is far from the only player in the world. And you're acting here that other countries and people don't have the same agendas as the US. Or Russia. Or China. Or fill in the blank Europe. You're seriously suggesting here that the US funded and armed the PLO? Seriously? What about Hezbollah? Them too? Muslim Brotherhood? Abu Nidal? And don't bother googling those. It's going to take you a lot longer than 10 minutes on Wikipedia to understand all this.

And the counterargument is that prior to Hamas, the Palestinians were doing shit like this. Again, Isreal isn't "the good guy". But some of you are seriously looking past what Hamas just did, and what the Palestinian terror groups have been doing since the 70s. The PLO and it's various partners were Al Qaeda before Al Qaeda.

Gonna use this here to make a point. Israel isn't the good guy here. And they aren't "the good guy". But they're the less of the two evils... no matter how much some don't want to believe that. This isn't an overnight thing. And I know modern society as it is, people want to grasp social media posts, quick Google searches etc to form an opinion. Essentially... For tight or wrong, Israel showed up 70 years ago. You can argue they shouldn't have been allowed to, you can argue they should have (depending on what side you take), but they did. And there's no going back. In the years since, the locals attacked Israel time after time, and Israel came out on top, time after time, and the result is the current day. In regards to the meme above, for all the rhetoric, at some point the Arab governments decided it wasn't worth it anymore... and moved on... to normalizing relations with Israel. And for all the negatives you can point out about Israel, they haven't had any problems since with those that did, like Egypt and Jordan. And the other Arab countries have more or less decided they did enough to help the Palestinians. They aren't doing it anymore. (Syria might, but it has its own problems). Israel for all its wrongs had in the past tried to negotiate... and the PLO said no every time. At its simplest point... the Palestinains said "no" to any deal, and the other option was "keep fighting". And they did. And the situation only got worse and worse for them. At some point you have to look at it like "you made this choice." As f*cked at their situation is. It would be one thing if the Gazans were trying to negotiate. But they aren't. They're demand is "Israel go away", which is never happening. They openly fight with Fatah. And like the meme above, they more or less have lost the popular support of everyone else in the region, no matter how u popular Israel is. And again it's because they aren't willing to negotiate anything realistic. And their neighbors in Jordan and Egypt and Lebanon have had more than enough of their own problems with the same shit. Hamas. Muslim Brotherhood. PLO. Hezbollah. The whole mess in Syria. ISIS. Amal. Etc etc.

Whole situation is f*cked. And there isn't any solution. If everyone is being honest. Because neither side is going away.

I watched The Shining this weekend w my GF. She'd never seen it, and I hadn't watched it in years, so I forgot most of it. Then that part happened where the wife was running from Jack Nicholson, avoiding death, and she randomly caught the bear guy blowing the other guy. So random, weird, and scary. And the first thing that popped into my head was that was basically this past season. Just when things were horrible and couldn't get worse, something random and terrifying happened. For all we know Bauer is a total asshole, and perhaps he turns out to be guilty of the other allegations. But... Without naming names, I know of a few ballplayers who went through this exact scenario. The only difference is this one went public. I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out Bauer is some psycho that abuses women. We get phone records, but after a crime has already happened. Only other way is with a warrant for a surveillance. But the thing I mentioned here was literally just the stupidest choose on earth. Twice. On the same street. And so far they've only managed to hit one person in the foot. So the score is like 5 arrests for 1 foot. You'd think with 4 separate shooting attempts that come out of nowhere you would come out on top. But it totally backfired on them. It's like us against Oakland this year.

IMO, she absolutely should be charged for filing a false report. I've seen this exact scenario played out too many times, and we never file on anyone for it. Which IMO is bullshit.

Was just looking for this post yesterday but couldn't find it. I was thinking, why the hell would you stay if you're Moreno? Your team sucks, everyone hates you, you could sell it for billions, etc. But then you realize he's a billionaire even without the team. Then it makes sense. He's beyond rich. Owns a team as a toy. Like an old car he swears he'll restore someday (but probably wont). We're kind of screwed.

As bad as it sucks for him though, he did in fact send her a picture of baby Yoda, so he still sucks in my eyes.
