    Can't be mad at him if he's shutting it down. But it sucks for us Angel fans who may never see him wear the uniform anymore. And sucks for baseball fans that we won't get to see him hit 50 this year.

    This is why I wanted Weave and Lackey in the dugout instead of Fin and Salmon. And I love all 4. But no past players(s) are going to spark some last second skill out of this (or any ballclub). But at least with Weave and Lackey we could have seen some dugout fights.

    I actually snagged the Ohtani hitting one 2 years ago before it skyrocketed in price. I'm not a huge memorabilia guy but I do have a soft spot for those Stephen Holland pieces. I was at a game a few months ago and Opie Otterstad was there doing an original piece. Cool as hell, talked to him for a few innings. It's sad that it was the highlight of any Angel game I've been to in years.

    We're all focused on out own shitshow, which we should be. But the Rangers collapse is pretty crazy. And the Mets / Padres still baffle me. At least when you look at the Angels you see major injuries, not garden variety ones. No idea how these other teams struggled so much with the talent they have. Padres offense is hard to explain.

    @Chuckster70, it's your site so none of my business, but... I think something for @Lou on the banner would be appropriate Lou was AW.... IMO, he was a bigger part of AW than the actual team.. we should do something permanent for everyone who comes aboard in the future to take note of...

    For nostalgia this is pretty cool, though I have no idea if jt will help anything. But maybe 2 years ago I was talking to Finley (a buddy of mine knows him). Won't get into what we talked about, but I'll be curious of he's being brought in to change up from what the pitchers have been told per that recent story regarding analytics. Finley wasn't too big on that type of stuff... So that might be interesting.

    I've been too busy with things at home lately, so glad I didn't get that Giolito jersey I was planning on grabbing. Kidding aside, what a huge letdown. I know it's already been said, but losing a huge trade chip for one shitty month of him is a huge, huge L. And I know Renfroe was a massive letdown, but damn. I was really hoping he was going to be a good player here.
