  1. We bought a saatva mattress a couple months ago. They are an online only retailer. Was hesitant to buy without trying first, but great reviews and a generous return policy. I am very happy with the quality and comfort.
  2. When I was about 11, Reggie completely ignored, and then drove through a group of us trying to get autographs near the players parking area. It was slow, but clear that he-would-not-stop-so-you-may-want-to-move . Then, while everyone was distracted by that, my uncle quietly pulled me over to the side, and we not only got an autograph, but a conversation with Bobby Grich. What a difference, and what an impression made on a young fan,
  3. They had my five year old take some hacks in the tunnel before we walked out. Look for joyce dfa tomorrow.
  4. Wife, kids, and I got randomly (cute kid) selected to walk on the field tonight. Sweet!
  5. Yes! Worth the wait. Younger son's first game attended, good way to start him off.
  6. Blame my aunt. She scheduled the family reunion yesterday in yorba regional park. Lucky we had the covered area. We got the two rainy days for the year apparently. 0 for 2, with those numbers maybe I can be the new lf'er.
  7. Trip down the length of the state, my 5 year old's first angels game, and we get the rainout. Awesome!
  8. Where it sounded like a strike? Really funny stuff with Earl Weaver too.
  9. Loved Ball Four. Also remember really enjoying "The Umpire Strikes Back" by former ump Ron Luciano. Been a couple of decades though, so...
  10. Wallace, though. Man. "Where's Wallace, String?" "Where's Wallace?" Loved every season on first run, been enjoying it these last few days when I get a chance to watch.
  11. Wife has a fitbit flex. It has a pretty interactive online dashboard, you have the ability to log events (for her, bootcamp, elliptical, etc) other than just simply step counting. It does not have any heart rate monitoring, and display is limited to 4 small lights. I think the purpose is more to keep you interested in your progress, which probably leads to more activity. She gets mad if she does not reach her step goals, so the awareness seems to be the key. For what it's worth, she enjoys using it.
  12. I have Directv. Whenever I change the channel to MLB Network, my brain kicks in with, "All you skirts know what"s up with 2-1-3".
  13. Plus, Frozen Tundra Throckmortons is still among the best fantasy sports team names I've ever heard. 10 or so years later.
  14. Yes. The male detective is even played by the same actor. I'm pretty sure that I read that the pilot would be the same, but the story would take a different shape, including who the killer would ultimately be.
  15. For those that also watched Broadchurch on BBC America, how similar is it? I read that they were changing it up some, but didn't really want to watch it "again".
  16. Shake Your Rump. Unless all you want to do is zooma zoom zoom zoom. And a boom boom.
  17. http://www.reddit.com/r/Music/comments/2bopib/pauls_boutique_is_25_years_old_today/ One of my "desert island" choices, without question. Also, this : https://soundcloud.com/ninja-tune/solid-steel-radio-show-31-8-1 No idea how I missed this until now. RIP MCA
  18. Grilli came out in an Angels parka, and when they grilled him about it, he stood and started to remove it. Only a jock underneath, Rose quickly reached across to make sure the parka stayed on. Millar was loving it and cracking up, but Rose was flustered the rest of the segment. Both guys were awesome, both already seem entrenched. Grilli and Frieri ran into one another in the airport bathroom at O'Hare while en route to their new teams.
  19. Good stuff with Street. Apparently, he's wanted to be an Angel for a while. Also, "we shot the arrows back..."
  20. 48. And I would have bet that I'd "win". Ouch.
  21. Yep. We had our then-infant son with us, the suspense of the cycle was the only reason we stuck around. Game was awful.
