  1. Yes! What a finals. Jones probably should have won the Conn smythe. Dude was unbelievable, and the reason it wasn't a sweep. The only drawback is that the penguins can't distract me from the angels any more. Any other nhl team up for one more series?
  2. Ive laughed at this thread with the Kaden, Jayden, Hayden stuff for a while now. I manage Juniors baseball. Last Saturday I got the other team's lineup. Zaydyn.
  3. Last time we got a duck (Kunitz), well, you know the rest. The rev was only a short term loan, and you forgot Hagelin. Loving me some Boninoboninoboninobonino right about now.
  4. Oh yeah! I just realized, most of you kings and ducks guys are with me for a series.
  5. Watched 'Preacher' on AMC. Apparently inspired by a comic. Im not a comic book guy, so know nothing going in. That said, it was quirky and entertaining enough that i'm ready for the next episode.
  6. Wow. Deep breath time before what should be a great series. I have found myself rooting for the sharks in the west lately as they are my "local" team. Now it's time for some hockey hate. It won't take long.
  7. Ha. Thanks, tank. I just came back to this thread. Honestly, my expectations have been exceeded as well. Don't want to say a lot and curse a good thing. You know.
  8. Some really good ones back in the early 90s. 1995 Beastie Boys at Cal Expo in Sac, Bad Brains opened for them. Lollapalooza at Shoreline in 1994. Unreal. A Tribe Called Quest, Green Day, George Clinton Allstars, Nick Cave, Beastie Boys, Smashing Pumpkins... Foo Fighters at the armory in Salem, OR when they were brand new. With Ween and Jawbreaker, who I dug and thought were going to make it. They broke up shortly after, lol. It was obvious that early that Grohl was on to something as a frontman. Probably my favorite alltime experience was Nine Inch Nails at Arco Arena. The show included Marilyn Manson, who was brand new at the time, and the Jim Rose Circus. I didn't know what to expect from those 2, and was freaked out in a good way. When NIN was going to start, we planted ourselves front row center, and stayed there the whole performance. One of the most physically demanding feats of my life. Then, when they played Hurt, they dropped a sheer curtain, and projected some weird footage on it. Everyone was literally still. Reznor is a master manipulator of tempo. The worst? Aerosmith at Cal expo, mid 90's. They seriously played like they were pissed off and bored.
  9. I liked the traffic guy, but he dropped the ball when the anchor asked if he was on point. Pretty good tributes today on sirius backspin. Including from Michael Rapaport, who made the excellent documentary.
  10. http://thesource.com/2016/03/23/phife-dawg-of-a-tribe-called-quest-passes-away-at-45/ What a tough year for music.
  11. I found a fun group to play with. But they are in England. The times I get to play are so random these days that it is hard to find people who are on with any kind of consistency. I know I posted it a few years ago, but I play on PS3 still. I am pitpenfan if anyone wants to add. Also pitpenfan on PS4. Just don't expect me to be on much.
  12. I'm obviously in the minority, but I cannot get into Fallout 4. Like at all. Can't even make myself keep going to see if it gets better. I finished Arkham Knight a couple months back, and I agree. Those games are really fun. I get to keep going back and helping my younger son through the hard parts. I enjoy the online for GTA 5 when I can do heist/contact mission with competent players. However, the load times, connection issues make it really hard to keep at it. I don't have the time to game regularly, but just popping in for a while with randoms is an exercise in frustration. Really looking forward to the upcoming Nathan Drake game. Beat all of the others, and this one is supposed to be incredible.
  13. Agreed. Been reading about the sequel for a couple of years. Lots of false hope. I see the rumors that they are planning to re-release Redemption for the new consoles. I would be down for that too, if they had the multiplayer fixed. For some reason, the multiplayer format felt perfect to me. Only game I ever leveled up entirely. Cruising around on the Zedonk, removing heads with my gold bolt action. F those guys that broke it for us.
  14. My favorite game ever, and it's not even close. I really hope the multiplayer stays similar to rdr, but I fear they will go the way of gtav.
  15. I don't know if Peaky Blinders has come up in this thread yet, but wife and I recently watched both seasons, and really enjoyed them. I passed it up for a long time because of the ridiculous name, but apparently it is based in truth. Has some good performances, Cillian Murphy and Sam Neil are both strong, and Tom Hardy is great in season 2. Predictable, but pretty entertaining.
  16. And to think that Jesse nearly blew it with Wanda by obsessing over Christy Boner's hoo hoos.
  17. Way too early, but have to admit: Had an early day at work yesterday, got home to see the game about to start. Nice. First two batters aboard. Alright. Trout just missed. Ok, runners advance. Strikeout looking. Weak groundout. Yep. Now I remember.
  18. Was with you. Relieved Chali 2na still kicking.
  19. I see your Chargers and raise you one Detroit Lions.... Good times.
  20. As usual, can't wait for the next one. Ed, talking to Milligan, referred to himself as the Butcher of Loverne. Awesome.
  21. Bruce Campbell as Reagan!??! Yes. What a great episode. Looking for Mike M to hit back hard.
  22. Outstanding. Patrick Wilson has nailed it. The accent/cadence he uses as Lou is so good, when you connect it with Carradine's in season 1. I have also enjoyed Jeffery Donovan as Dodd. Burn Notice was always a "bad series that I enjoy", and I'm digging his turn as this character.
  23. What if somebody calls my momma a whore?
