So, anyone have any good experiences with online yet? I finally spent a little time, and found it enjoyable. Free roam is not great, but I enjoy the missions. I've joined some higher ranked players (I'm only at about 18), and the missions available from level 30 up are pretty fun.

I ran across this last year. As an assistant coach during 9-10 (minors) Allstars. After playing catch with my players the whole season. We were told you can throw or bat balls to the kids if it is part of a drill, but not play catch. So ridiculously stupid.

Swap Sopranos and The Wire. Maybe I'm just a shade too young, but I never got All in the Family. Thought it was crap.

Fresno, Modesto, Santa Rosa. Lived in southern CA my first 10 years, northern CA for the other 31.

Some of my favorite ESPN board memories crampknees going off on trolls, and whoever it was that would post the big text-wall middle finger. Cramps used to kill it... Also remember getting into it with (I think it was) Angelfan25years when Ramon Ortiz was "demoted" to the #3 starter spot. I thought it would benefit him (from a mental standpoint), but apparently I was an idiot, lol, rofl, and all that, and it couldn't possibly make any difference.

Those were the days, before my kids were born and cut way back on my free time. Had a great time playing some fantasy baseball with red, Kurt, Hubs, Disarcina, among others. Even had a "board meeting" at the stadium, where we got to watch Aaron Sele shut down the Dodgers while police shut down their idiot fans. The Seattle board takeover was awesome. We actually made just about all of their posters leave, and had the place to ourselves. The weird part was that we all found it in a relatively short period of time. I think I saw a post from "blue 321" on the seattle section of the "main" page, and thought someone was mocking red. Nope. Just red making himself at home.

Biggest downside for me: My 3 year old loves pretending he's Trumbo when hitting wiffle balls with my older son. He'll shout "Trumbo", and do the bat point timing mechanism.

Lots of folks with broken pipes this week. Unexpected. It gets cold here, not this cold.

-4 in good old Weed, CA this morning. Lived here 30 years, this week is the only time I can remember going subzero.

Don't know what it says about me that Kenny is one of the only characters who actually makes me laugh out loud at times. Got me last night with the story about how Leonardo DiCaprio discovered gravity.

Though I don't post much, I've been "around" since the ESPN board days. DR, I've always appreciated your postings, and been touched by your "shenanigans". Even though I only know you here, I'm thinking about you this weekend.

3rd and long, 'boys ran a sweep. Tackle held, play didn't gain a first down. Lions out of timeouts, decline penalty. Instead of a 40 second runoff to a field goal, clock stops on the penalty. FG good, but Lions get over a minute instead of 20 seconds or so.

Thank you, Callahan, Garrett, whoever. At that time of the game, Lions were without a shot. I had chalked up the disappointing loss. Whoever called those runs instead of kneeldowns opened the door. My Lions are on the other side of decisions like that more often than not. Oh and Dez? You are an incredible player. But there is only one Calvin.

Beat the game last weekend, not near 100%. I've only gone online twice, couldn't get into it. Couldn't properly check it out while getting hunted down from all directions. I'll have to give it another go when I have some friends online to roll with. I got so into Red Dead online that it is hard to shift gears.

Added a couple of you guys. Went on for a little bit for the first time. Did a race and a mission, but had to cut out. Buggy as could be, freezing up between. I'll try again another time.

As far as the stock market goes, DO NOT invest in lifeinvader. Never goes back up... I realize I rarely post, but my PS3 tag is pitpenfan. Like Eric, I'm not on a bunch. But when I am, I'm down for some hijinks.

I, too, am a Lions fan who paid for the honor of watching the 0-16. Good times.

Released yesterday, sad to see him go. As a Lions fan, I wish Jahvid good health. What a dynamic player, at Cal and in Detroit. He is the reason for the quick start that led to the playoff appearance a couple of years back. Too bad that he could not get past the concussions. To my understanding, the Lions kept him on the roster long enough to become eligible for medical benefits, even though it appeared last year that he was unlikely to ever be cleared to play. Pretty nice move if that is in fact the case.

Yep. Should have sold my Teemu Selanne rookie card immediately following his rookie year.

Wow. Looks like something that may keep me from returning to RDR multiplayer. Played all of the other GTAs, it'll be fun to stomp around Los Santos again.
