How bad does sh** gotta be that even blink 182 opts out because of substandard venue. I mean, they play county fairs right?
-
At least they came through with the gourmet lunch.

Mmmm, that defense and mediocre pitching depth tho.

Have faith. When Trout brings home a World Series trophy, you'll be celebrating. Along with the rest of New York City.

I thought it was 50 games for first offense. Did he get caught before or is it more games for first offense now? -

I've been going on the assumption that Eppler has been frugal, proceeding to stockpile assets to 1) pull the farm out of the gutter and 2) eventually trade for impact arms in the next two off-seasons. I'd be pretty disappointed to see those assets frittered away on any piece that doesn't push our rotation or bullpen towards elite status. -
I was alhraboskysmustache and limited much of my posting to egging on Lifetime about the LAA name change. Went on for months. I would wait for the topic to flag and rephrase an already used argument to spin him up. If he wasn't a lawyer, he should have been. He was a one man Maginot Line.

Angels bat boys....errr I mean bat men?
Junkballer replied to yamsi12's topic in LA Angels | MLB Daily
We should do this again in another two years, by which time they'll be using bat bots with special needs. A Mickey Hatcher bot. -
He's not dead. He musta got lost.

I am somewhat surprised as well. Without getting into policy specifics, airlines do have to utilize their own planes to facilitate overall operations and no one would argue that there aren't times when passengers must be removed from flights by law enforcement, physically and violently if necessary. It is the specific circumstances that seem to have touched a nerve. While I'm wholly in agreement that their policy was not well thought out in terms of extreme cases such as a vehemently resistant passenger and on top of that, was poorly executed in that incident, the man did not have a right to defy law enforcement. While he is going to get paid it will be at the expense of ignoring or downplaying his own culpability and for that we collectively will be the victim.

They're not kidding. That man textilized diamond plate steel and made a shirt out of it! -
Youtube TV does not appear to carry TBS at this time, which may impact your access to some postseason telecasts. Other than that, YoutubeTV seems like an improvement over SlingTv for the DVR capability alone. I have Sling and love it. I think it provides more bang for the buck than YTTV but going without a DVR was a pretty big adjustment and may be the thing that causes me to switch over someday I'd do it now except that Sling provides access to MotoGP racing which is mandatory for me.

Questions for Inland Empire players
Junkballer replied to Brent Maguire's topic in LA Angels | MLB Daily
I'm curious as to how much of the Angels philosophies are implemented at that level, especially with pitching. What practices and approaches are emphasized at that level that is particular to this organization? Obviously this is putting it too bluntly but I'm sure you can phrase it with more finesse. While I'll take any insight I can get, I'd be pleased to hear it from the coaches perspective. And thanks in advance. Looking forward to your piece. -
Becoming an Angels fan in Yankee country

Cool, you played with Orel Hershiser, Jack Black, Stephen Baldwin and Greg Maddux (bottom row). -
For your first one, try it out before buying. Not slamming glocks, they are great, I own them, but they have peculiarities that some people don't care for such as grip angle and trigger feel (even when lightened). It's something you may not notice until you shoot another gun that is more ergonomic or has a smoother trigger action and then the difference becomes quite noticeable. I like the legacy HKs that are still available in CA. They'll run you several hundred dollars more new than a glock but they are more ergonomic, accurate and can be easily home-smithed into several configurations, left/right safety, decock, DA/SA or LEM double action only. In short, you can buy it in basic format and conform it to fit your evolving needs. You should flag Calguns Handgun Marketplace because you can get off-roster items from time to time through face to face private party transfers through a single ffl but you'll pay a premium due to rarity. Also, you can find used USPs there for just a bit more that a new glock. My last thought is, and others may disagree, never consider a gun to be all-in-one because in my experience they never are. They'll either suit your needs for target or action shooting or for self defense but each of those have their own particular characteristics. I would buy the best gun you can in the classification you most want it for and realize you will probably not be satisfied with it using it for the other categories. And really lastly, kick your shooting friends in the sack for not helping you through the single shot exemption process 16 months ago because you could have bypassed the roster and had that awesome ppq.

Oh, that also explains the Hamilton signing. It didn't make any sense until just now.

If it is enacted we will see a massive transportation infrastructure/mass transit subsidy initiative within 4 years. If it is not, we will see one in the next election. Actually, if the state would start to "pay as we go" and disallow bond measures for infrastructure/subsidies, I'd be in favor of increased gas taxes, but that's not what is going to happen.
