FTR - I don't hate Harper.   I don't think his personality adds to the sport either.    I root against teams more than I do individual players and I have never gone to a game to root against a guy.   But that's me and people are all very different.  I remember people loved to see Reggie strike out -- so, I get your point about heroes and heels.

1. I've been angry towards Kevin? Why would I be angry just because he likes a player that I don't? I like kevinb. All we've both done here is state our opinions regarding Harper. I respect his opinion, I just happen to disagree. 
2. I never called Harper lazy. Being the reigning MVP has nothing to do with the discussion between kevinb and I. Donaldson is the reigning MVP of the AL and I don't dislike him at all.
3. I didn't "judge" AO. Not even close. I've known him for a decade. I've even had beers with him on more than 1 occasion. I respect his knowledge, and even more, I am utterly amazed at his memory of sports trivia minutiae. It's uncanny

You should celebrate a win. Other wise what the hell is the point in playing the game. Being last or first celebrate and be happy you won. The seasons too long to not enjoy yourself when good things happen

Sorry baseball needs people with personalities baseball is dying. So sorry if personalities drives the meter on the national scale. Trout as great as he is doesn't drive any numbers. He is amazing but the national conscience doesn't know as much about him cause he doesn't market himself as such. Have an opinion or a take. I'll tell u what. When he is in his contract year he will talk more guarantee it. I don't like arrogance I like people with a known personality. I don't like people who are shy and boring Trout I like cause he's on my team that I root for but I think he is boring because know one knows who he is other than what he does on the field 

You can hate Bonds I did as well but guess what he was an ass hole but was a fantastic baseball player. Trout couldn't hold his jock strap no offense to Angels fan. Trout is great but what Bonds did in his last year is incredible. Sorry not sorry.  Everyone in baseball and sports is on something if u don't think so try again

You don't have to it's not about just you despite what you think. Not everyone loves cheese pizza all the time everyone is allowed to like different things. Some people dislike athletes being quiet and shy and others dislike athletes being loud and boisterous. And an actor if I dislike an actor I don't watch their movies similar to if I dislike an athlete I don't cheer for them. Politicians are there to keep the government afloat and keep humanity hopefully going forward. So yes I dislike politicians and have more personal feelings toward one or another. Athletes or actors don't change the way I live they are there for entertainment value and keeping us preoccupied why would I let one affect my day. Also I am not just talking about this board with people being angry at Harper you hear it as a talking point on sports talk shows. I don't get having hatred or anger towards a 23 or 24 year old kid but hey I'm sure some people get really angry at 19 year old college athletes because he made a bad play in a football basketball or baseball game but I don't either they are college athletes they will make mistakes. I don't understand the way our American sports athletes are being treated now. JJ Watt everyone loved now everyone thinks he's a douche because he's too famous or something. Just so funny how fanatics act.

No I think all the candidates blow nuts. What does that have to do with the price of bacon? Trout is great why can't Harper be great or good as well. I don't understand you people and by you people I mean sports people. You take athletes to seriously. Why can't athletes be entertainers. They play a game for a living and some like to talk and some be quiet who cares. Is everyone in baseball supposed to have the personality of a wet towel. I am an Angels fan really enjoy Trout and his personality but I also like Harper and his personality. You know just because he is loud and obnoxious and really really good at baseball doesn't mean you have to hate something you've probably never met. Sports is supposed to be enjoyed. Enjoy it or don't but getting bent out of shape about it daily ain't worth it. For example I can't stand Pujols overpaid, stinks, if I watch it makes me cringe while he's at the bat but that's about it. I don't let it ruin my day and don't think about it other than when it's brought up and then I go about my day. Some of you guys have this hard on for this kid who won the NL MVP and are so angry. Baseball is boring and it does need some excitement and people talking about stuff but doesn't mean people who are quiet like Trout aren't amazing as well. The world is full of different personalities. And for those that didn't read and want an easy what the hell is this rant about Haha just stop being so angry at athletes. 

I don't get some of the anger for a baseball player most people have never met and play for the Nationals. The guys different than Trout he speaks his mind, they are both young and great/good baseball players. Guy is a professional athlete and they are paid to entertain us. Just enjoy the game for what it is a game.

I mean I guess he's not the worst baseball player in baseball. But he is as bad as we think. He's hitting for the season 229 with a 309 obp and slugging 400. Our power hitting second baseman has a 396 slg percentage
