  1. Even though I could not provide any context at the time...I did mention some rumblings that I had picked up from Mets fans last November about him. Which, in no slight to anyone (from some of the responses I received), only proves that none of us have any idea about who/what these players truly are nor how/what they think. Until. of course, they make them known on social media...lol!

  2. My guess is that they must be looking at Thaiss as well. I mean...if it's not the plan...might it not have been more prudent for Perry to have traded for Sands than for Wade? Especially since they already claimed Velazquez who is the more capable of the two at short. I know (the need for a "utility knife" aside) that Sands spent last season in double/triple A but given that some believe he has the potential to be an immediate back-up to J.T. Realmuto for the Phillies...I was just curious.

The defense isn't good and he was awful half of last year, but Jorge Soler has my eye. He might be good with a one-year deal and re-entering the market next year if there's universal DH.

2019 KC he had a .922 OPS and 48 HR, and 21 with ATL .882 OPS with 25 XBH in ~250 PA. Defense is pretty subpar.

Still, for $8m-10m he might give you what you want from Adell (.900 OPS, iffy defense) as a stop-gap, especially if the Halos need to revisit trade market for a SP.

Adam Duvall and Eddie Rosario, Joc too, might also be worth watching, though Eddie isn't much of a RF, and Duvall doesn't walk much. Have to think some of what led the Braves to be interested in all these guys could also have carried over with Perry.

So he must feel very comfortable to feel like he can say these things.  Obviously I’ve been outspoken about Joe, but I look at this as him calling for more talent.

So, I'm confused, Given that pitching has been a chronic problem for awhile...did he ask for more at the start of this season? As, I don't think that he did & if so...it's strange coming from the guy who advocated for the Angels to waste 8 million on Quintana. Who, if I remember right...thought he would be their "innings eater". Plus, what's also weird...if he's indeed calling out Perry here (as he should given that he & his staff didn't produce any more/better than Eppler did alone) whose decision was it to let an inexperienced coach (Wise) have the job after Callaway was dismissed?

Criswell, Warren and Wantz kind of snuck in to the picture….all have had pretty good minor league numbers….maybe we’re starting to develop pitchers a little….and we’ll have 20 new ones next year…..

Well...let's hope that Criswell can show us something tonight to give us even more reason to be optimistic for the future. That, seemingly, is telling us that we're still a few years away from being competitive...

Very sad for a lot of families that are just seeking a better life for their kids.

In before, "tHeN wHy DoN't YoU hOuSe ThEm?" as if you're not allowed to care about an issue unless you personally have the means to help people struggling with that issue.

Sadly, even back in 2014 (despite their spin) the welfare of immigrant children was even less of a concern...

I have never understood why it's so hard for the Angels to figure out their roster issues and announce a lineup.  Even when they don't make roster moves, they're almost always the last team to announce their lineup.  We're less than an hour from start time and they still haven't announced anything yet.
