  1. Great comeback, and the kind you can ride in the playoffs for the Jags. But the Chiefs are going to eat their lunch (again, just like a couple weeks ago) next week at Arrowhead. Chris Jones is going to be in his face all game opposed to Bosa who just throws his helmet around and complains like Rivers used to.

Yo @Brandon I’m at the sandwich place having a beer. The Latina chick is wearing yoga pants and judging by the side boob shot I have she’s definitely a D cup or above. GTF over here for a lunch one of these days.

    Shoot me a text, homie.

My bday was on Thursday, so I was out and about being that people were free on Friday, wanting me to do things. I still don't remember that chick.

Yep, I found out about Eagle Rare from visiting the distillery in Kentucky (I'm super close now) and dude, as a Buffalo Trace fan, Eagle Rare was the smoothest, tastiest bourbon I have ever had. So so good.

We have to sync up Brandon whether it's here in Nashville, Kentucky or when you hit up KC we can catch a game. I'm up for road trips!

For sure dude, it’s been a while. I have some buddies out there and was even looking at houses out there (the main cities like Nashville, Lynchburg, and Knoxville) as the state has no state income tax.

My cousin likes to road trip from KC to Nashville for KC/Titans games or events like the draft and Furnace Fest.

    We’ll figure something out, brotha.

Who here has tried Eagle Rare? May be my favorite Kentucky Bourbon so far.

I have, but it's been a little while.

There was this dude that got into the mortgage game and I would mentor him. His previous job was working as a whiskey buyer for Bevmo or Total Wine (I forget), but that dude had all the knowledge and knew his shit when it came to bourbon or whiskey. Everyone knows about the top tier ones, but he said Eagle Rare was his normal everyday go-to. I think he liked it as more of a mixer whiskey or to try out different drinks whereas he would save the neat drinks for the Blanton's, etc. But I thought this was a great whiskey, even neat or on the rocks. I don't remember, but I think it even had a great price point around $25-30 (again, it's been awhile and this was pre-inflation).

If memory serves me correct, Buffalo Trace owns the name and distillery.

I've had one of the high end ones, too, back then. I want to say the Double Eagle or maybe a 17 year. Good stuff.

i'm clearly missing some dimensions to this story ,and adam, and why you guys are so positive about it.

    Brother-in-law.

If this didn't want to be known (granted, I think it was years ago), please delete.

Ps. Props to him. I've never been opposed and myself like to circumvent the system or find loopholes. Glad he's back and hope Perry throws him a lifeline so I can hit up Adam for tix. Dude helped build the Braves team that won the WS and built/sustained it.

  6. Need to see it explained better, but was kind of reading they are going for a neutral field thing depending on who gets to the AFCC. Both the Bills and Bengals beat KC, so I wouldn't have been against having KC on the road if they make it that far.

Just glad dude is doing good on the mend. Didn't see it but immediately was reminded of this in 2021. I think they said Eriksen was dead for 12 or 13 minutes. Now he is back with Manchester United and doing well both in sport and health. Hope the same for Hamlin and glad to see everyone jump on board his charity cause.

In before a woman enters this thread and says “c*nt”

What's funny is I was dating a chick from England who used to throw that word around like water and it rubbed off on me, so I was using it all the time, as it was frivolous.

I started using it here and people were up in arms and now it's a censored word. It seemed to kind of tone down when Bill Burr started using it all the time and Americans realized they were dumb.

  8. Bengals fan tonight....although KC isn't destroying teams these days and it's feasible the Bills lose, but then the Chiefs lose to the Raiders in the finale to give them the #1 back.

In the beginning of the season I saw tonight on the schedule as the likely game to decide the #1 seed.

Cincy would also jump to #2 with the head to head win tie breaker.

Important game for all three teams tonight.

According to his stat sheet, GA played in A + for one season. And that was in Palm Springs. That was before the PS team moved to Elsinore. I remember watching him play in Palm Springs.

I never watched him play for Lake Elsinore, just that he was one of the hot prospects talked about when I would go to games. I was around 11 back then in 1993 and didn't even know any of the minor league players. Just heard people talk about both players with Todd Greene also on the cover of the team program I got at the first game which meant to me that he must be the star of the team to be on the cover and everyone kept calling him The Greene Monster.

I might be mistaken, but I thought it was Ramon Ortiz who out-dueled Pedro in the early 2000s.

Speaking of which, Ortiz qualifies for the OP’s question, as he went 44-33 in 2001-2003, and then fell off the map.

You are correct, but I was actually thinking of them both and it brings up your second point and pitcher I thought of for a sec. They were both right after each other, if memory serves me correct, Santana was one of the kids that would replace him.

Both are the same to me and both were first thoughts. If he would have just said "What Angel Did You Expect More Of?" We'd all say Brandon Wood or Jo Adell, but because there was some verbiage in there about removing busts and just simply, "Who Should Have Been Better?" I interpretted as simply, "Who did you have high expectations for?" (regardless of career and example of Kotchman who was decent/serviceable in his career). I thought the world of both and that they would make ace status. Just never happened.

I knew I was missing someone when I posted the three and he is the other.

Concussion, and just the general lack of power from a power position. We figured it would develop and he'd be a .300/.400 hitter with 40 DB and 20 HR. Kind of like Freddie Freeman. But the power never came and that concussion really affected him.

Yeah, people or "baseball experts" were saying he was going to be the next Paul Molitor. High praise for a prospect.

  12. There are a few, but it could also just be expectation and not on the player...but the question is subjective.

Ervin Santana. Great middling career with two all-star games, a no-hitter, and probably what makes this mention was that duel versus Pedro Martinez where everyone became super high on the kid. He was inconsistent when I thought he would be an ace.

McPherson was one I thought would be Troy Glaus 2.0 and hold down 3rd for a long time.

When I was a kid I'd go to a few Lake Elsinore Storm games and the two hot prospect names were Garrett Anderson and Todd Greene. GA obviously is a legend here, but Greene didn't amount to shit. He was a complete miss.
