    Yup.

And I'm pretty much done watching this team for the rest of the season.

Besides a couple of the stand out players, I don't know how such a bunch of gutless pussies can put on a professional baseball uniform with a straight face.

Gutless pussies? Possibly.  To me, this team just never played loose all year.  Ohtani is extremely popular, and they were desperate to keep him.  What they needed, early on, was for Trout to hit a homerun, then take that Samurai Warrior hat and just stomp on it while screaming, "USA bitches!!!"  That may have loosened things up.

2001, lost 19 of our final 21 games.

    Then 6-14 to start 2002.

Then...glory. But those were different players then. We don't have men like Erstad, Salmon, Glaus, Eckstein, Percival etc. Not even close.

We started winning and it was contagious. A winning spirit took over this team.

Don't forget Spiezio and B. Molina.  These were two of the Halo's greatest clutch performers ever.  Also, we were able to shorten games with Donnelly, Krod, Percival and that goggles guy.

Reports are saying Yankees most motivated to trade for Ohtani. Mr. Moreno says it's about fans as he wants to keep Ohtani. Maybe he will see more Yankee fans in stands on Monday. Many Angel fans sell yankee fans their tickets.

When I look at MLB top prospects, I don't see any Yankees we would want.  I think the Reds have the best prospects that would fit our club in Marte, Arroyo, and Collier.  I don't even see anyone on the Yankees MLB roster that would be a fit for us.

Can you imagine this club during those years with Beltre in his prime and Trout.

Butterfly effect.  We don't sign Vernon Wells, Hamilton, or Pujols because Kendrys Morales gets moved down in the order to hit behind Beltre, and thus, never hits the homerun where he has the freak ankle injury.  That ONE year he balked at paying Beltre cost Arte 1/2 a billion!  Instead, we were reduced to trying Trumbo at 3B.

  5. I think we have a good young nucleus with O'Hoppe, Neto, Moniak, Adell, and Detmers.  The possibility of adding another piece or two by trading Ohtani is enticing.  The economic measure of satisfaction is the "util".  I, personally, would derive more utils from watching Ohtani in a playoff race and the postseason, then from watching him in play for a Halo squad that is just not going to get it done.
