  2. Thru 6 shutout innings now: 10ks, 1 hit, 2 bb
  3. I’m not aware of what this so-called solid #3 starter is exactly. Is this like the Loch Ness monster, Bigfoot, chupacabra? Or is it something that truly does exist? I’m fascinated either way.
  4. So what you're saying (in a way i can understand) is that Top 100 Prospect list websites only care about the Ginger's....and ignore the Mary-Ann's. MLB teams know that Mary-Ann's are the foundation of a good baseball team/organization. Or maybe i just want to see a dancing Mary Ann clip
  5. Upton at lead off is idiotic. And yet, it’s worked out fantastic so far.
  6. We've heard this before, so not a surprised. Still, it's stuff like this that continues to make me question my fandom for this franchise/organization. Per FG article: "If you think the system is thin, wait until you see the scouting department. The Angels furloughed area scouts during the pandemic and didn’t bring many of them back, forcing their remaining personnel (mostly crosscheckers and above) to scout in unfamiliar parts of the country ahead of the 2021 draft. I don’t know whether this will impact their draft strategy since it’s likely they’ve done a lot of video work and have been forced to lean more heavily on data to make decisions this year."
  7. Do any of these publications realize that we have a brand new GM (in addition to scouts) this year? Why do i keep seeing them reference Jo Adell types, athletic young OFS, etc. for the Angels pick? What we did in prior years is no longer applicable considering we have a whole new regime. We have no idea what drafting philosophy and direction our new GM will take. But looking at the guy who was here the prior 5 years and using that to determine a pick makes no sense. Is it laziness, stupidity or something else.
  8. Adell with a screw you to the ‘three true outcomes’ mindset — he’s doing two (HR or K).
  9. Is there some kind of new MoneyBall theory that i'm unaware of that the Angel scouts found with drafting pitchers who can't throw strikes?!? It seems the one common trait all our SPs in the minor have is a horrible walk rate. Come to think of it, that's the big league trait too. It's like a hereditary trait -- you get drafted by the Angels and you automatically now can't throw strikes...and you're 50% more likely to have TJ surgery.
  10. I'd like to say he's been the biggest disappointment this year. Unfortunately, that's a crowded list for the Angels this year and Bundy is just one of the guys in that long line. He's a contender, but there more several more deserving Angels for that honor this year.
  11. I, for one, am shocked this pitching staff didn’t work. They looked so great on paper coming into the season (smh)
  12. You just can’t be going 3 innings as a SP. thing is, this 3 inning start was one of his less sucky starts this year.
  13. Those certainly are not cheap Salt Lake HRs Adell has been hitting. Crushing them
  14. Neither of which i want to put in my mouth. Nachos are one of the rare Mexican foods that fails miserably on the leftover test.
