  1. This ends what was the worst Angels signing in history -- which is saying ALOT
  2. lol i guess so -- just a flesh wound. Seriously though, the last 10 years of Angels BB has turned me into such a cynical, negative fan. I used to be annoyingly positive. Every prospect could potentially be great and the next Frank Tanana, Wally Joyner, Finley, Salmon, etc. Horrible season -- doesn't matter because the next season we start in 1st place and it'll be our year. Maybe we had too much success during the 2002-2009 period and it's ruined things lol.
  3. That's a bit what i was referring to about the disappointing state of our farm system after 5 years of Eppler -- AA team (where typically the meat of your truly good, young prospects are at) has a very exciting SP along with a lineup of ham sandwiches in the field. We need some quick advancement of the guys down at A and AZ development.
  4. 'Blame the Manager' in MLB is one of the funniest fan complaints of their team's lack of success
  5. I know that rankings are to be taken with a grain of salt and more entertainment than anything else. Also, the Angels have a lot of very young guys that haven't had the chance to make their mark nationally due to the shut-downs. But dang, i have to admit that it's incredibly disappointing that our farm system is so average (at best). Sure trading MLers like the Ms did is the quick way to rebuild and restock a farm system. But it can still be down while not fully going to tear down route (SF, Toronto, Twins, Clev, ATL, LAD, etc.). Several years of rebuilding the farm system and what Eppler gave us is just meh. Ultimately, the story of these guys are to be written and how they do the next 5-15 years will determine the quality of the current Angels farm. But just in general, it's a kick in the nuts seeing what we have compared to others and knowing the main plan the past 4-5 years was Eppler to rebuild the farm system. Certainly it wasn't 100% on winning at the big level.
  6. I wasn’t following your conversation. I just used it to bounce off of the ridiculous Q argument each start that he doesn’t actually suck. I shouldn’t have quote you though. I didn’t mean anything by it honestly.
  7. That 446 foot HR was bad luck too. it’ll normalize as well and be a 330 foot fly out next time.
  8. Funny thing is -- technically the runner was outside the proper home-to-1st base lane and was illegally inside the diamond.
  9. I still don't understand the Angels passing on getting Brad Hand at $10M for one year off of waivers for free (heck -- the rest of the league). If any team needed to get pick that guy at that point in time (let alone now), it was the Angels. Especially as bad/thin as their BP looked in the off-season and them knowing we were not getting Bauer.
  10. Wow I thought all the Q fans from this off-season would take longer to turn on him. That took no time at all really. I hated the signing and said so - but he can’t be this bad.
  11. Hogwash with your sound, rational, level-headedness common sense. Freaking out irrationally is what we do best man
  12. The offense has been great so far. On the other side of the coin -- pitching: 28th in WHIP 30th in ERA 29th in ERA+ On the hopeful side, 11th in FIP Fielding: last in FP
  13. Did Ohtani have control issues going back to his days in Japan? Maybe that's a more recent thing now in the U.S. and with his various injuries (TJ/arm, blisters, etc.) incurred the past few years. It seems from day 1 in the U.S. he's had control/command issues.
