  1. If this game Rained out, does it still count as a Pujols game and we get Walsh back in?
  2. Man I really wanted Joe Musgrove on the Angels this past off-season. Having said that, SD gave up more than I even expected. May turn out to be well worth it to them though.
  3. I’m not sure I understand the point - didn’t we fire Eppler already like months ago?
  4. This seems like a perfect example of a game that should be protested and ruled in their favor. They should play out the rest of the game in the near future with that call being the 2nd out. Which means it won't.
  5. horrible call by ump. He literally moved his elbow forward into the ball. Regardless, ball was in strike zone -- you can't have a HBP if the ball is in the strike zone. Might as well stand over home plate and let the ball hit you in the stomach/chest. Idiot baseball.
  6. Luis Castillo is just sucking for now so he can get traded to angels this season (wishful thinking)
  7. Bundy going to make PM regret not getting an extension done this offseason.
  8. Why do I feel like TJ surgery is just waiting around for Canning as soon as he’s ready for it?!?
  9. I’m a huge fan of Walsh. I believed that last year was real and he’d continue it into 2021+. Dude needs to be playing 80%+ of the time. Having said that, I thought those two wild throws (early & late) to first were played badly by him. Maybe I’m being too hard on him, idk, those are tough to dig out. But he seemed like he had no chance and was a non-1Bman trying to play 1B. It’s a huge asset to have a guy defensively at 1B who you know will stop Anything coming his way. Hopefully it was just early season learning curve.
  10. idk if i'd give any type of credit to albert in that AB. The only thing that kept it from being an easy inning over double-play was the fact he couldn't even get solid wood on the ball. That was weak sauce. I guess i give him minor credit for not striking out. But really a DP is the norm for him and likely what he does next time (& then -- if it wasn't such a bad swing). Hey, in the box score it looks like a line drive and game winner so who-ray!
  11. Owners should try to do whatever they can in order to help their team get on TV for fans to watch. But the reality is they don't -- because it has no immediate impact to them financially. They have their TV, broadcast, etc. money from MLB and local deals. Team values keep going way up. If anything, they likely think it means more fans in the stands. But fact is, it hurts the long-term of the sport (very long-term). I haven't been able to watch the Angels local broadcast since the 2019 ended. My interest for this season is WAY down because i have no ability to watch them on TV. Worst yet (for Arte/MLB), my two boys have zero interest now in talkin baseball and anything about it. The lack of watching it on TV just is a killer for them interest wise. Football -- on TV all the time and interest sky high (same with other sports that are easily assessable). My oldest boy cried when the angels got eliminated by KC the last time they made the playoffs. Now he couldn't care less about the Angels/MLB.
  12. Kind of says it all about this current BP. Hopefully it somehow works out and/or looks different 1-3 months in.
  13. To be fair, why should media and the alike assume otherwise? It’s been year after year with SP pitching issues for the angels. The improvements they made are not so dramatic to be obvious to an outsider. Heck, they might not even be improvements (tbd). We’ve had spring hopes before only to be shattered by injuries, suckage, etc. Fact is, it’s time for the Angels pitching staff to prove the so-called pundits wrong. The proof will be seen shortly.
  14. I was having such a good day and then you go and do this.....
  15. Perry NEEDS to let Arte spend more on bullpen help. Is that better?
  16. Madden needs to cut that crap out and starting walking a few more guys, giving up hits, etc. Otherwise he won't be available for us at #9.
  17. Spring training is funny. Lot's of people drunk on the Spring optimism. I hope they are correct. Personally, I'll slow play and wait until April/May to get too excited.
  18. I’m starting to understand a bit why everyone seems to rank our farm system in low 20s.
