I hope Tropeano didn’t put to much stuff in that Angels locker he got yesterday

It’s threads like this that make this site so great. I love the information from people who know what they’re talking about and who do diligent research for the rest of us.
kudos Second Base and Angelsjunky. Thanks

This pitching staff clearly demonstrates the physics for how spin rates can result in launch angles and exit velocities.
I'm an old school baseball fan and I don't really know or follow the sabermetrics of spin rates, launch angles, and exit velocities.
All I know is this staff is handing out home run souvenirs at a near record pace. There should be warning signs out there

I love the fact that after Ortiz was targeted, the patrons in the bar went over and not only detained the shooter, they beat his ass so bad the Dominican cops couldn't even interview him until he recovers.
Gotta love the Dominican street justice

Thank you for this Second Base. Good info with lots of subjective opinion but it sounds valid. Much appreciation

I just don’t think the Angels vetting process was real. Ausmus was Eppler’s choice all along. Maybe Texas, who reportedly interviewed 10 managerial candidates hired a diamond in the rough Chris Woodward.
And bummer too because Woodward is a local guy from Covina. Might have been a nice story if we had hired him. Who knows?

He is a very lucky man. Getting shot in the back can do a lot of damage. The Dominican Republic isn't exactly known for their top notch Emergency Rooms and Trauma Centers. He is lucky that no vital organs were hit and he's even luckier to be still on this planet.

I honestly think Tropeano's fastball topped out at 91 mph today and when he threw it for strikes, it got hit very hard. His breaking ball was not sharp either, and because his fastball was spotty, Seattle took advantage and stole bases on him. I honestly think that is going to be Tropeano's achilles heel in the bigs. Below average arm strength and too heavily of a reliance on his breaking stuff, much like Weaver.

I hope he doesn’t get Mark Trumbo syndrome. That’s where they invite you to hit in the Home Run Derby, then lose the ability to hit your ass with both hands.
then they get rid of you.
save Tommy from this.

ESPN is running the story now claiming he got shot at an amusement park. Robbery appears to be the motive. I actually feel sorry for these rich ball players who can’t even go home to their home country without their own countrymen trying to rob or mess with them. It happens in every sport and it must suck for them to not be safe in their own homeland

I haven't been county. How many of the six Seattle homers have come off Trop?
3 I believe.

When Cody Allen is pitching, the fans in the outfield should be mandated to wear protective helmets because the exit velocity of the baseballs hit off him are damn near 200 mph it seems.

I was wrong. Section 238 just made an error. Son of a bitch
-
Hell yeah. Come on Angels. Start that brawl

The hair doo’s of these two pitchers makes me think I’m at a Hansen concert.

Jesus Christ the Mariners are dogshit defensively

Holy shit. It’s raining souvenirs

Another great play by a fan in our section
-
That contact play was really bad by Smith there. Weak grounder behind him and an easy play. So instead of second and third, we have first and second with 2 outs. Not smart
-
Kevan Smith really has good speed for a catcher. Tagging up on the foul ball, he made it easily. Nice to see that
