Of the 7-8 starters we have I trust 0. We need someone dependable. That anchor that we'll know every 5th day they're going to go out there and give us 6 or more innings and keep us in the ball game. I legit can't say I believe any of our current starters can do that. Ohtani obviously has that potential but we'll see how that goes. I'd be much more comfortable with a veteran arm in the rotation. Doesn't have to be Yu or Jake.

And Megna hasn’t even gotten a real shot this year.  He is significantly better then Beauchmin imo.  Metrics be damned.  He hasn’t played enough for those numbers to mean anything.  And I don’t know how anyone can watch Lindholm and then look his corsi number (which is only good relative to the rest of the Ducks-it’s actually not that great a number it’s like slightly above average) and then think.  “Corsi is a strong indicator of preformance” Lindholm has been AWFUL this year.  Not average, fucking bad.  Corsi is a useful thing to consider I think as part of a big picture evaluation but it’s no where near the kind of analytics numbers we have in baseball.  Which is where I think people get it wrong.  We see numbers like WAR OPS + etc in baseball that are very good in telling  a story and then assume that Corsi is similar in hockey.  It is not. 
I knew signing Beauchmin was going to be a problem.  I don’t know if there’s another better example of Bob Murray’s incompetence then that.  

This article is so bad. Ducks aren't in need of any help at D? This article lost credibility right after reading that. I'd love to get Petry and Pac. A 2018 1st and 2019 2nd, Silvferberg, Ritchie, Larsson gets us to the table. We definitely match up with the Habs here. All gonna depend on what they want as the prospect. Young stud Dman or young stud FW (Steel). Both of which I'd have no issue shipping off for Max.

Every game on this road trip has made our prospects look bleaker and bleaker.  Murray can’t afford to wait for the deadline imo.  The team is not consistent and is a disaster defensively.  We need to decide if we’re going for it this year or not.  And we need to figure it out quickly.  
Like I’ve said before.  If the Ducks don’t make the playoffs.  Both Murray and Carlyle have to go.  This is Bob Murray’s mess.  It shouldn’t be Carlyle that gets the blame.  But he’s Murray’s guy and should go with him. 

A little late here but I'd do that too. What GB mentioned in that article, a 1st, prospect, roster player, conditional pick = 1st, Larsson, Ritchie/Silf, 5th that can turn into a 4th or 3rd pending Cup run. Hell, if Kane and Risto are coming back I'd do Ritchie and Silf, not just either or.

Agree completely with what you said here. His 2017 season really soured my opinion of him. So many players outperformed their expectations and Kole was one of the few that fell down a peg or two. If he can rebound to 2015/2016 type numbers that would be solid. Especially for what we're paying him. If Adell/Jones/Hermosillo take positive steps forward this season though I'd look to deal him next off season. Or the pipe dream of Harper in RF hah!

He either bounces back and has a season like he did in 2016 or he doesn't improve upon his 2017 campaign, which means we should look at replacing him in 2019 with one of Adell, Jones, Hermosillo or a FA/trade. Either way, Calhoun does provide good defense and at the very least average offensive output from the outfield position. 

This is definitely true, but ultimately it's Sosh who carries the most weight in the clubhouse.

Even better in a year or two when Kole is out.
