Kinsler wasn’t a miss. He was an average 2B with an elite glove who returned two controllable relievers with upside in trade. That’s closer to a home run than a whiff.
Cozart is too early to judge. He had a rough start, but the contract made sense in context. 

I think his rating is skewed because of relativity. I think @Blarg and I rate him the same overall but may have some different reasoning behind it. And I'd like to simplify it for @Dochalo because I doubt he needs a dissertation on this.
But when an 8 stands next to a 4, she looks like a 10.
So when Dipoto came in, it was amazing because we were comparing him to Tony Reagins. And now that Eppler is here, he looks like the smartest man in baseball because we're comparing him to Dipoto. Billy has his strengths and weaknesses like anyone else. Clearly, he's very strong is scouting pitchers, and can also effectively communicate and deploy analytics. He's also strong operating within a budget and is probably the best "farm-builder" (if there is such a thing) that I've ever seen. But the glaring weakness here is that I think when he does spend money, he spends it on the wrong players, and I think he's fallen too in love with run prevention as a way of accruing value. If you hit the ball hard enough, it doesn't matter what kind of defenders there are. 
I hope that sums it up, and doesn't offend anyone. 

I gave him 9. Not every move has worked, but most have. He quickly rebuilt the worst farm system in baseball into one that is very respectable. He brought in Simmons, and he got value back for Kinsler. He makes shrewd moves within the confines of his allowed budget. Now he will have his own field manager.

Well considering he hasn’t had one season with the club playing .500 or better baseball it’s tough to say he’s done much good. 
This offseason and upcoming season will be his make or break. I don’t know how you can justify extending him if he has another season of below .500 baseball. 
He’s already been here for 3 years and we’re still roughly 2 years away from competing...

I have best friends who I have known forever and I can pretty much call them brothers. They are also huge Dodger fans.
I want nothing more than to see the Dodgers lose and for my friends to be miserable as baseball fans.
It amuses me. 

Red Sux any day over the rival Dogs.    Never want to see my rival be the ultimate winner.  Also, AL > NL.  Actually, Superior League > Inferior League.  

I would be so disgusted. The only time I would have to root for the Red Sox. Dodgers fans act like the team is the greatest thing since sliced bread even though they haven't won anything for 30 years. Imagine if they do end up winning, ugh. The only positive is that I don't live in LA anymore and people from San Diego don't care about anything.

I'm less than iffy on Bedrosian.  That dude is Kevin Jepsen version 2.0  You just never know what you'll get.  We don't need that kind of inconsistency.  Plus declining velo isn't a great sign.  I wouldn't mind selling high on Alvarez either. 

Since Simpsons memes and pics get posted on here all the time, maybe this random fact about how we make the show would be of interest as I sit here at the studio taking a break: Simpsons is pretty much the only show on TV still drawn traditionally. Yes there are other cartoons that are drawn by hand still, but Simpsons is practically the only one still doing it on paper in any way. We don't do the full animation here in the states; we do the storyboards, key drawings of animation (so for example, frames 1,4, 7 and 10 of an animation that is 10 frames long) and any CGI (I'm a CG artist) in Burbank and then outsource to Korea to finish the animation and color. We, and every studio doing 2D animation, draw everything on big tablet like things called syntiques in a drawing software; when we ship everything we've drawn out, Korea actually prints it out and draws it on paper with pencil and then scans back in for cleanup.

as long as we end up with vladdy jr., then i'm fine with that.

It would be glorious if they found several teams guilty of violations and turned a bunch of prospects into free agents yet excluded any team that committed those violations.  It would actually be vindication for Arte taking the high road while all those inappropriate signings were taking place if we were to be one of a very few teams that stayed out of this mess and signed a bunch of those players.  It would also be great to see a bunch of those teams get locked out of international signings for a decent period and forfeit their pool money.   
I wonder what happens if a team is found to have been in violation yet they've already traded said prospect that put them in violation.  
BTW, the top 4 prospects in baseball are foreign signings.  And about 25% of the top 100
It would be a major upheaval if teams like the Dogs, Yankees, Rangers, Padres, Phils, Rays, Cubs, Jays and Astros were all found to have been involved.  Those are the teams with the most top international signings. 
I can't imagine it getting to that level, but it very well could.
