How much was the shipping?

I can't believe nobody has gotten this one yet. This was the game Bob Hendley pitched a one-hitter. Note the time on the scoreboard, 9:41 p.m., in a game that started at 8 p.m. Hendley was a quick worker.

Last year, Arte said he was interested in buying FSW. The current TV deal runs through 2031, I believe.

Teheran, the innings eater, picked a bad time to go on a crash diet.
In other news, the Cubs are 10-3 without Maddon.

@Jeff Fletcher why don’t the Angels allow for the cardboard cutouts in the stands.
When Arte sold his billboard company, he signed a very broad non-compete agreement which prohibits him from arranging for the placement of free-standing signs of any kind. Unfortunately, it applies to the fan cutouts, which is why they can’t be displayed at Angel Stadium.

Johnny Damon and Gene Stephens. Three hits in an inning.

A straight Upton/Goodwin platoon might not work because the last two seasons Upton has hit about 100 points lower against lefties. Over Goodwin's career, he has hit 10 points higher against lefties than righties. Maybe a reverse platoon, where Upton plays against righties and Goodwin plays against lefties?

If Greinke takes a perfect game to the 10th and gives up a run on a groundout and a sac fly, does it still count as a perfect game?

If the baby was a girl, they were going to name her Rainbow.

The hard decisions will involve which of their limited number of attractive trade candidates to give up for decent pitching.

Groupon has a deal where you get The Register home-delivered on Sunday, plus everyday access to the paper online. It’s $5 for one year and $10 for two years.

Palm Springs on Hulu, a time-loop romantic comedy which I found entertaining. If you like Groundhog Day, I think you'll like this one too.

I no longer have cable so in the back of my mind I was planning to arrange a bunch of one-week free trials of the streaming services which carry Fox Sports West so I could watch the entire 60-game season for free, using different credit cards, and email and billing addresses. Unfortunately, it looks like FSW is carried only by Hulu Live TV and AT&T NOW. It is not carried by Fubo, Philo, Sling or YouTubeTV. So it may not be possible to get all 60 games for free.
Hulu, Fubo, Philo. Who gets paid to think of these names? I think a guy named Philo invented TV, so I guess that makes sense. But what about the other ones?

I'm still trying to parse this as a review.
If you watch the show, you'll understand.

Toast of London on Netflix. It's a British comedy series about an actor who causes a lot of bad luck for himself.
The Great on Hulu. Huzzah!
Party Down on Hulu, which is hilarious. It was made about ten years ago, but I had never heard of it.
Season One of Ramy on Hulu. It spends the first few episodes establishing the characters, but then really catches its stride as the season goes on.

I have been to 10 stadiums, or 12 if you count the original Big A, the enclosed Rams configuration, and the current rockpile as three different stadiums.

I'm sure Albert doesn't intend to play after next season. He just wants to control when and how he announces his retirement. The headline on the ESPN article was "Albert Pujols not ready to talk retirement." There is no point in his announcing (i.e. talking) retirement 16 months ahead of time. No player ever does that.

Why would Eppler accept a one-year extension if he could get a multi-year deal somewhere else? And if he couldn't get a multi-year deal somewhere else, why would the Angels even want him?

I think he is still recovering from shoulder surgery.

They fired the ball doctor? Now what are they going to do if somebody gets hit in the nuts?

He's just the business guy. What's your complaint about him?
He and Arte go way back in the display advertising business. They used to travel Route 66 back in the 1930s, putting up Burma Shave signs.
